I've found a local somerfields (only small) up the road from where I work, that happily accept internet coupons if you buy the product.

I tested it with two domestos 24 hrs that I bought on offer, and used the onlyl coupon in my handbag (sniff) which was the pdf one.

    R

The pdf one is Tesco specific but the one on couponnet can be used in any store.;)

1st trip to mr T since the new coupon policy, sure enough notices on each till stating the new policy. Can still use conditional spends, SA told me that. So to all you muppets out there, [no not you MM5!!!!]who through misue & greed have spolied it for the majority :mad::mad::mad::mad: I am so angry, I have been couponing for 30yrs!!! & my parents even longer. Wev'e always played by the rules with regard to in date MOC's, no duplicates in any shop & always ask the SA if they are able to take any we may have. Now I am stuck with paying through the nose to shop at Mr T as we have no other supermarket for 12 miles.
Huge Thank yous to all who find all the wonderful MOC's especially PC, honey, vegicar [techie help XX] & everyone who makes this thread a great read. I don't post much, but appreciate all your hard work.xxxxxxxxxx

Hi every1! Still difficult to digest such a big change, however we look at it...:(:(:( Like many, I suppose, I was only used to shop @ T's b'coz of their Coupon Policy as I used to purchase my grocery itmes and sometimes clothing from there. Thus, I'm finding it quite difficult to shop around and not use MOCs, I suppose...:o

Also have noticed quite some new 'faces' that have come round to say 'Hi'...:rolleyes::rolleyes: Again, cannot believe some stores appear to have taken such a large amount of coupons!!! As much as I'd like to believe the GM was very poor at his/her job these occurrances must have taken place with staff knowledge...:( At my local, who only took originals, one had a really awful time redeeming the original MOCs let alone any printables (these were not accepted unless the item was bought and even then subject to minute and thorough investigation!:p)

Also PCN, am quite curious re T's accepting coupons for sooo long as I came across the policy accidently, about a year ago... In your past experience (I hope you don't mind sharing with us) have T's taken this stance re permanent ban if not buying the correct product? Here's still hoping something might change...:o:o:o I know what has already been communicated regarding it being a permanent change...:o But in more then 30yrs there must have been times when the policy changed and was re introduced? Hoping and praying...:o:p TIA

From what I witnessed at Dudley, I fully agree. I mean they went for only letting you buy groceries and health & beauty products (heck you could not even buy booze, newspapers or magazines) to allowing people to buy anything except lottery tickets, cigs & tobacco, gift cards and phone top-ups over night! Why?! I also noticed that most of the people in the coupon only till queues were staff (never saw them use coupons in the past) and I noticed that a lot of the coupons they were using were pedigree and the pampers one that was being sold on eBay! Smells pretty rotten to me!!!

I for one am boycotting Tesco (can't afford to shop there now anyway). Before I knew about coupons (about a year and a half ago) Tesco only got about 20% of my shopping business, then when I found out about their coupon policy they got 99% of my business and I hardly ever stepped foot into another store. Now they will get 0% of my shopping business and lose my petrol business too (I always got my petrol from them). Today I went to Morrison's for my petrol and even better for me as it was cheaper than Tesco. I will also be sending Sir Terry a very nice and constructive letter via the post marked "personal & confidential", that way he himself should read my letter and not some employee. If we stick together on this one folks we just might get some satisfaction.

As for the conditional spend coupons everyone is rushing off to Tesco to spend, I was wondering, wouldn't it be better to use them in the store that issued it? It just seems to me you will get more for your money to use at least the Farmfoods one at Farmfoods since they are cheaper than Tesco. Just my way of thinking plus Tesco would not get that business which is a bonus during the next 4 weeks. Oh, if they come out with anymore spend & save coupons in the newspaper during this trial period to try to lure us back, well I won't be using them either! The only way they will get my business back will be to re-instate the coupon policy!!;)

What a good idea Sher I've never been in FF, I'll take my £2.50 off a £25 spend's with me and check it out

I did my first shop at Waitrose today using the £5 off £30 spend, what a pleasant surprise.
It wasn't as expensive as I'd expected and the sales girl smiled at me and was really friendly, I was so shocked and taken aback by this unusual approach(well I have been shopping exclusively at T's for some years) I checked my purse and valuables before leaving the store but no all was well nothing missing, not a ploy as I first thought. ;)

Must agree. Mad went in late last night and was greeted with a smile and pleasantries etc. Mad was dishevelled after a hard day, unshaven, looking ruff, seen better days blah blah blah blah. However, I do feel the security guard was more interested in the bottle of whisky that the local tramp (not Mad) was trying to conceal.
