Also, with regards to the £5 off waitrose voucher in the sun on saturday...

It is all well and good Tesco withdrawing the coupons and amending their policy but they appear to lack consistantcy.

I bought the Sun on saturday and the girl at the checkout said 'you can use the waitrose voucher for tesco- we'll accept the waitrose ones'.

That came from Tesco express in bristol. Dont know if it is up to certain store managers or areas but the girl made a point of telling me it could be used!!

    :T :T :T :T :T

NEVER MIND, TESCO CAN NOW BE USED AS TOILET ROLL IN MY OPINION.
Hit the thanks button if it helps!:T

The standard of customer service in Waitrose is astonishing - I got called "Sir" and the staff were lovely. I did spy an ol' trout on one till though, maybe she used to work at T's!

With regard to new coupons appearing...

Now that the manufacturers know Tesco has changed its policy, hopefully they'll feel confident enough to start issuing lots more coupons knowing customers will have to buy their product to use the coupon.

my 'local' waitys said that too...any chance yours is ***********?

Nope! Suggest you remove your locale too otherwise they may not be 50% much longer!! Lets learn from T's and not give anybody a helping hand for the 'Good' stores! ;)

Sorry if that sounds selfish to anyone but if you want to know your local policy ring them......Gotta try and prevent the scammers somehow! :o

Interesting graph. Although - they're still going up! ;)
Is there ones comparing them to other supermarket's performance, rather than the FTSE?
Be interested to see how Sainsburys are doing - they've apparently been having a resurgence the last year or so.
    Here you go:

It looks like since the market low in March Tesco have been catching back up while Sainsbury's have gone nowhere. The same goes for Morrison's

Just watch when you get the cash from your credit card because there is usually about a 2% charge.
If there isn't then well done I think it's the quickest most hassle free way to make money.
    Cheers diluvsdiscounts
I would never use a credit card for cash withdrawal because of the fees or transfer a balance for the same reason. There's just no point especially in today's low interest rate environment, but lots of purchases will soon add up - I generally buy everything I can on the Tesco card up till today (except holidays because of their fees!) and I pay it off every month on a direct debit to avoid interest. I have set a direct debit up to pay the Halifax Card minimum and will transfer the money every month to savings to ensure I can pay it at the end of the free period. I hate paying interest on anything  - I'm just glad my mortgage is only 1.39% at the moment, that's the only thing I'm paying any interest on.

Consumers save roughly £500m a year by using money off coupons in retailers. However, the ISP believes that far more brands would issue coupons, if they could be sure that they were going to be used properly. Tesco’s move should significantly cut coupon misuse, which will lead to more brands issuing coupons and so more savings for legitimate consumers.
  • Strikes me with all the posts re T's that they could do with a shake up somewhere - if they can let scammers get away with £250,000 fraudulent mocs before they notice anything wrong and employ people the likes reported by Dr.Who-Who who have been part of the scamming problem, somebody somewhere needs to wake up!!
