Good luck tomorrow everyone!
Mrsplinter - should be a fair chance of a sub 45:00 with a following wind?
Idio - Should be nice to drop back to 'only' 10K and hopefully take another chunk off that 44:08 time!
Evab - It will be interesting to see how all that marathon training comes through in a 10K. Hope its good one/:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Hi all
How are you simply? I've seen you've been out for a few runs - good on you, need lots of pace to get away from those witches and ghouls next week :rotfl:
I'm good thanks evab; no more achy bits so I'm happy.
Have been out in the New Forest on my bike today - OH only managed to wait until we were travelling home from Abingdon before asking 'now that's over can we start going out on our bikes again'? :rotfl:
We were only going out for an hour - we turned back after we ran out of track and it got too boggy. My OH got his pedal caught in some heather and fell off - luckily he had a soft landing. Only trouble is we got a little bit disorientated (ok, lost) and when we got back to the car we realised we'd been gone over 2 hours
Tomorrow's planned 6 miles might well now become 4 or 2 depending on how my legs feel after my X-country cycling today. It was great fun though.
Glad that you're feeling much better - have you got a time in mind for your 10k?

Simply - :rotfl:little bit disorientated - made me laugh, my hubby says that! he would never ever admit to being lost!Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
Good luck to the racers today... just off out for me last real run I guess before the taper starts... see ya in 16m time
..
think the OH is tapering to, she can have a sunday morning laze in bed, instead of beeing dragged around here and there to a race..Cabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0 -
Not many weeks now Uk - hope the 16 miles went ok.
Just 4 miles for me this morning - 00:41:43 (10:18/mile) - my legs were tired but I don't know if that's post Abingdon tired or post cycling tired. Probably both.
I was experimenting with my Garmin this morning - it has great capabilities for timing intervals, tempo runs, etc. The only trouble is - I don't :rotfl: I managed to programme it to do a warm up, two laps of one mile with 60 second rest breaks in between and a cool down - so fingers crossed I can repeat that geekiness at 05.30 on Tuesday morning (no hope).
Looking forward to todays race reports later :T2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
if not many weeks is 1 week 6 days and some hours then yeah not many weeks left. :rotfl:.
Run was ok very stiff after about 14m but there you go, hopefully just down to the racing... hopefully.. knee pain keeps comeing and going.. but so close now will just have to live with it... and hopefully with less miles now might calm it down some what.Cabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0 -
Anyone watching the Great South Run on 5ive?
more to the point, anyone running it from here?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0
