I know - I just saw!! What can I say!! Could be worse - could be Triathlons.
He's entered the Bolton Ironman next year
Freak!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Oh yes! I get that "OMG what have I done" feeling whenever I think about it. Really pleased to have got in and at the same time really daunted by the huge training mountain that lies ahead, if that makes any sense.
I did a training plan last week but because of different family and work commitments I haven't kept to it. Still, its early days. I'm off out tonight though, probably for around 8-9 miles so that's not too bad.
What about you, what is your next target?
You'll be fine - loads of time to get going again
As Rich says did 4 miles last night in 38:36 so 9:40 mins/mile - was very sluggish and feeling very hot so the infection is obviously still lingering around, but on good news my foot didnt swell up so thats progress
Simply :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, well if you dont push yourself
And on running unrelated news I can now say I have been asked to marry someone - got accosted by crazy man in the street today who stood right in front of me blocking my path and mumbled 'would you like to get married?' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I love London sometimes its hilarious!!!0 -
I forgot my Garmin yestersday.... A non tracked run....:eek::eek::eek:

Hi all
How's the foot becky any better?
Well done bos on your 6.5 miles x
Well done on the continued running progress hannah, great work.
Lovely photos simply, although you do seem to be enjoying it too much!
Well done everyone else with your runs.
I'm feeling much better now, I would having been just arriving at Llanberis to start the marathon if pesky cold hadn't hit . Instead I'm off to take my dd swimming lessons then get changed to go for a short run before tomorrows 10km. I have to register when there as no post to get the pack through.
I'm not expecting a good time but I'm going to use it as a training run / benchmark to lots of improvement!
How are you simply? I've seen you've been out for a few runs - good on you, need lots of pace to get away from those witches and ghouls next week :rotfl:0 -

As half expected, today was one of the slowest parkruns for a long time due to the cumulative effect of some fairly swift miles over the last couple of weeks.
However, not too bad for a run done on lead legs!:p
Good luck to everyone for the weekend running ahead..:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
