    Well done Linda and Lurks!!! :j :T :j :T :j

I was out and plan was to do 7 miles but due to a call of nature :o had to cut it to 5. Anyway it was my first long run since BUPA so glad that I did it. Hurt my knee thou coming off the curb so hoping it will be ok for running to work tomorrow.

Well done on another PB......whens the next:T

    Lurkio,

    Well done that man!
I guess you might be a bit disappointed when you are so close to the golden hr. But its a great achievement to run the whole thing. Its quite a tough distance to get right and if you ran the whole thing you must have got your pacing about right.

I know its early days, but have you got any plans for another?

Most importantly, well done on beating the course!:T:T:T

Well now I HAVE to get under an hour ;)

I will start looking for something around september time. My "I survived" t-shirt says there is one in october in Bushy park. I might well do that one if I can't find another.

Strangely, I ache less than when I do a 5k..... go figure.

:DNeigh, neigh, and thrice neigh :D

Well done Lurks on your 10k

I'm miles away from that at the moment and started Wk 2 this morning and completed Day 1 no probls - however felt tired afterwards probably due to the early morning but it was great running in the sun with hardly anyone else around

    Well done Sparkles. :j

I am suffering from bad case of lazytitis :o. My excuse is that the knee is niggling a bit so taking couple of days off. Hoping to get my gym membership sorted this week so at least should get some exercise done.

hello everyone and welldone on some superb runs going on there!! :-) BOS welldone on the run adn hypno i have yet to catch you on the 7 miles... that will be done tomorrow!!! Mascott, glad to hear no pain in the knees, none here either whoop!!

well, yesterday i headed out and completed a hilly 4. shorter than i would've liked but running at a friends and a bit limited for safe circular routes. it was a really good really pacey 4 miles though and i felt good right throughout. gives me the confidence to complete longer runs at a slower pace.

Then today i had a gym session.....a fast 3.5k on the treadmill. completed in 20 mins. no idea if that is good be for me its billy whizzz styleeee. and a swim which is where i came unstuck. A new gym, a strange swimming pool, with open changing room doors lead to me inadvertently entering a room, staring at 2 very naked men in a rather suspended animation moment until they grabbed their towels and I squealed a hurried sorry and retreated blushing from the room!!!! DOH!!!! :rotfl:

Hope those who are out this evening have safe runs and to the rest of you, keep it up!!!
    Lots of love

hey marru be careful with that knee hon!!!! strengthen strengthen strengthen is all i can possibly say to you. concentrate on the inside thigh muscles. the bet exercise i had that has made my knee strong again is sitting on a chair and squeezing a football between my knees and squeezing inwards from the knee not the groin, holding for 5 then releasing for 5. should help but if your knee is niggling, get it checked. I for one know the pain and inconvenience of ignoring the problem and ending up on crutches and facing an op a year later. xxx
