Evab, sorry you won't be running the marathon- your health should always come first. A hard decision to make but the right one. Huge hugs and I hope you feel much better soon.

Very impressed Ukevas, mines only just over half that.

Thanks Becky- starting to feel a little nervous now as packing bag for hotel tomorrow night, but determined to just go and enjoy the experience as can't see myself doing another (the training has just been too difficult to fit around work and family) shorter distances for me from now one:j

Evab - sorry you're not completing but you are going to be even stronger for the next one :D:D

I've missed races before due to injury and while its disappointing you soon find a new challenge to focus on and enjoy!

Another good racing weekend ahead so good luck to everyone -I shall enjoy spectating from the sidelines and playing on Wii tomorrow and drinking vodka ;)

    Thank you!!!
I'm quite looking forward to it! I've been so tired though, yesterday I couldn't finish our normal 4.7 mile route  I'm hoping with lots of sleep and pasta lol I should be ok for Sunday. It's 11am too not teatime like Thursday so I think I'll be fine.
Thanks for the best wishes :)

Good luck to Rich, UK, Simply, tq16, Idiophreak, Bank_Of_Slate & SazM for tomorrow xxx:D

Another question for me.... for my long slow runs what sort of pace should I be running at compared to my other runs? My 2 x 4milers this week have been at around 11:30/m . Any info would be great xxx

    Enjoy your runs everyone xxx

    Hi Hannah,

When extending longest distances there really is no required pace as such, the only goal is to complete the distance.

Just back right off - you'll probably find about 1 minute per mile slower than your 4 milers will feel about right. Good luck. :D

That's the last of my training runs done and it felt gooooooooood!! I'm really going to have to control my pace when I set out tomorrow - I was ambling along this morning, looked at my watch and my pace was 8:48/mile so I had to slow myself down. Can't be doing that tomorrow.

Rich - carb loading didn't go so well yesterday. We did a lot of travelling - London for 08.30, Leeds for 14.00 and Manchester late afternoon. The plan was to stop for pasta at some point on the way home but there were roadworks everywhere and we ended up getting cheese/potato pie and chips in Solihull at about 21.00 last night. I ate as much as I could but they were truly disgusting!!!!!

Fell into bed at about 11.15 and slept for 8 hours solid - brilliant :T

Oooh saz - that's an ace number, wish I had it :D
