thanks simply, apparently my hubbie was chatting to my parents last night and he said I shouldn't do it so I feel like I've done the right thing. The 'friend' is one of my hubbies friends who has been told where to go! My brother is too far away to get a thumping!

Anyway moving on, how are you feeling? dead excited!
  • Yes, I'm really looking forward to it evab- I've been getting imaginary illnesses all week and have been avoiding anybody who looks remotely like they might have a cold :o

I was a 'bit' concerned that I was going to be on my own at the back but I've looked on RW and Fetch and there are a few others aiming for around the 5 hour mark so hopefully I won't be too lonely. :D

Whatever I achieve will be a PB and I know you think I'm a nutter but I've already started working on my training schedule for the next one!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Where's that lightweight slacker, evab gone?:p

I wouldnt worry too much though, evab, you're going to feel great over the next few weeks. If you train for a marathon and then subsequently dont do it (an experience that I have recent knowledge of :o) you will feel very strong and find that your training and shorter race pace will take something of a leap forward.

So let the gremlins get sorted and then enjoy your well earned new level of fitness.:D

Remember that tonight is the important night for getting a good night's sleep, far more important than tomorrow (when you'll probably only sleep for 4-5 hours anyway!).

Is your pan of pasta on the hob yet?:p

Best of luck for Sunday, Simply...

Looking at last year's route, it seems to do two loops of one of my 8-9 mile lunchtime routes as the bulk of the race - so you should come right past my office...twice! gimme a wave as you pass :)
