I'm tempted to enter the half - VERY tempted in fact!

We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.

Great run simply, these 20+ milers are so brilliant
Well done rich, another brilliant race, glad you felt so good and you beat your target.
I did feel good today despite not having much sleep due to ds teething and being awake most of the night! I thought I was a lot slower though but pleased with the time. Probably be slower as the long runs increase in mileage.0 -
Well done Rich - that's a cracking result. Fantastic that you beat your target :T
Well done too to KYCU - looking forward to hearing all about it.2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Well I completed my first half marathon today. Really nice to meet rich & becky, Rich I dont think I actually thanked you for the extra encouragement you gave me at mile 12 ( think it was about then. All I can say peeps is that I didnt leave anything at the start line. I did take a tumble at the 2nd water station, there were a fer around it and I changed direction but didnt notice there was a kerb, when I took that tumble I thought for a few moments that it was the end of my race, however it turned out not to be so but I have a nice bruised foot, grazed elbow and skinless knee.
I'll post garmin stats up later but I'm deffo 2:01 area, lost a bit of time on the tumble and took me a while to get my rhythm back.
Rich as took your question on when i booked due to my low number it was 24th spetember before I had even done a 5k park run!:staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0 -

Hi all
Some great running from everyone! KYCU that time is fantastic for a first half marathon
Okay so today there was quite a bit snow around when I set out so at my turnaround point I decided to come back the way I had come as I knew it was passable and safe!
Therefore the mileage was slightly shorter than intended at 24 miles - but considering the snow the time was fantastically pleasing of 3:45:15 which is 9:23 mins/mile and I ran the last 5 miles or so as a progressive so I was speeding up - sprinted the last 500m or so and still felt strong
Am achey now but dont feel too bad at all - what a confidence booster! Off to get my train home soon so will no doubt be sleeping0
