Another one reporting a 6 mile(ish) run today!

Simply - You just dont give those hills any respect these days, you just eat them for breakfast!:D

Ev - Nice run. It looks like you've consolidated at your new level of fitness, you've really got things going well since the 10K race.

UK - Good luck on Sunday at Brighton.

Nice dry 6 miler for me today, for once the chalk and mud wasn't trying to eat my trainers.

Looks like everyone has has a good weekend of running plans.....enjoy
Proud to be dealing with my debt:eek:

TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Sat20/2 parkrun Leeds 5K 18:54 (6:05/mile) (9th/206)

This word consistency is certainly now applying to these parkrun performances. The 2010 jaunts now (excluding the deep snow one) are:
    1/1 18:48 (Banstead)
    2/1 18:45 (Richmond)
    16/1 18:48 (Middlesbrough)
    23/1 18:57 (Finsbury)
    30/1 18:55 (Reading)
    13/2 18:52 (Bushy)
    20/2 18:54 (Leeds)

So 7 very different courses and only 12 secs spread between all the times. Interesting.

I tried to save something for tomorrow's main focus at Blackpool. We will see.......

As for Becky....well lets just say BT will not be happy when he gets back after the weekend.:(

It was great to meet Linda as she went about losing her parkrun virginity. She will no doubt be posting shortly but certainly seemed to enjoy the sub zero temperatures.:D:D:D

    Mon - rest day
    Tues - rest day
    Weds - 6.26 miles in 53:38 8:34 mins/mile
    Thurs - 10.42 miles in 1:35:07 9:08 mins/mile
    Fri - 6.26 miles in 54:13 8:40 mins/mile
    Sat - 6.2 miles of which 3.1 miles in 22:21 7:13 mins/mile

Okay so I didnt crack the 22 mins - was feeling rather heavy (with women's problems ;)) but still got a pb on a tough course so that makes me think it cant be too far away! I suggested 22:15 was more likely and it seems I was right :)

Rich - I dont think BT can be too upset for the sake of 2 seconds :p

Well done to Linda :D, hope the trainers fit!

I also managed to meet Tess Hornby Smith (finally after following her progress for so long) and shes hoping to run Bromley in a few months time - so I hope you make her feel welcome BT :T:T

Well done on the 6 miler catspaw and simply, and great going on your miles linda hope you had a great parkrun.

Well done rich on another solid performance especially in the variety of courses.

I'm not out until this evening, legs are a bit tired but not sore or achy so hopefully can put in another solid run. I was aiming for 9:50/miles but I do like to beat the clock even just a little bit!

Well done becky, that goal is getting so near:T

Good luck tonight Ev - you know you can do it if you take the first few miles easy and let your muscles warm up :)

  • Rich.

I think my road shoes are knackered my left foot is hurting at the edge even with sorbs in, would running blackpool in my trail shoes (only done 40m in them) be a bad thing? they do fit nicer than my road shoes and they are lighter. I figure a one of in trail shoes wouldnt do much damage after all its only like using heavier racers really isnt it.....? What are your thoughts
