Thanks, I've got a new training plan so lots of hard work to come. I going to do the same run tomorrow evening to have a bit longer rest, then LSR 8 miles on Sunday.

Well I can tell all that prep work you've done is really paying off in terms of pace - just remember to back off if you get any niggles over the next few weeks - you wont lose the pace but you can save it for race day :D

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Becky/Rich where do you park when you go to the Leeds Parkrun?

    Mon - rest day
    Tues - rest day
    Weds - 6.26 miles in 53:38 8:34 mins/mile
    Thurs - 10.42 miles in 1:35:07 9:08 mins/mile
    Fri - 6.26 miles in 54:13 8:40 mins/mile

Nearly had to give a cyclist a piece of my mind because inside the park he was cycling up behind this runner, tinged him, and shouted 'run on the pavement you fffing bleep'

I was running opposite and was just about to remind the cyclist that a) this is a park not a road and b) even if it was a road there's absolutely nothing that says that runners are not allowed on roads!!

Fortunately the guy he shouted at called him an ffffing wa*nker which seemed to do the job - although a little less elegantly than my response I think :p

I really hate cyclists who think they run the shop - its a park its for recreation not just whizzing through on your way to somewhere else!!! ;)

Anyway nice run though (one idiot aside!)

Linda - we park on the street at the bottom edge of the park...Rich will know the name :D
  • Linda - I park on Hyde Park Road somewhere near the phone box, but theres lots of parking space along there at the time we're there.

For your information, the start is right in the corner of the park where Clarendon Road meets Moorland Road - just look for the statue with the red wellies!:p

We'll be there from about 8:10-8:15 ish, but as long as you're there for 8:45 you'll be fine....

Becky - Nice 10K and rather consistent too....:D

I thought I'd taken that very slowly so the pace was a bit of a surprise - I felt as though I was doing little more than walking up the hills but apparently not. :D

It looks like a was a 6 miler day for a few of us - hope you both enjoyed yours ev and Becky.

Well done on the 18 miles bt - enjoy your weekend.

Mmmm, I love roast sweet potatoes - I topped a shepherd's pie with mashed sweet potato earlier this week. Delish!!!!!

Becky - I've tinkered with my email security settings (well, my OH has) so it should be ok now. :)

    Love that smiley Uk
