I had a bit of a child care problem today, took DD to soft play are in sport centre but wasn't allowed to leave her there if I went out of the building. They did offer me the use of the treadmill but chose the pool instead. Swam 1 km which I haven't done for years so very chuffed with myself.

If BF comes here today early enough I will have my run then or it will have to be early tomorrow. I still don't feel like a proper runner but very pleased with the progress I am making.

My old boss continually (no matter how much you asked him not to :)) told the story of the time he was cycling up hardknott pass when some boy racers came past him yelling abuse. Apparently he caught them up within a mile, their clutch having burnt out and was able to return the compliment...

All this fun could be yours! :)
  • Idio,
I fear the sight of me vomiting over their smoking bonnet would only infuriate them more......who knows......maybe its easier than it looks......

i think I have more chance on foot than in my car!

acutally, coming down could be a challenge:eek:

*has also had sushi for lunch*

I bought some bananas and a bar of dark 90% cocoa chocolate.

I have got some sweet potatoes to roast in olive oil, they are really slow energy releasing low glycaemic index, have you tried those Becky?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Yep I like them roasted in the oven in their skins but they take forever! Cant leave them in and go out either as my housemate has made the oven gross again and it smokes so it might catch fire
