Simply - I atke it that the legs felt good again? Three successive days should have got rid of any remaining cobwebs. I, too, was wondering about Mascott.....he must be up to about 47 miles and counting......
Eugh - that is just wrong Rich. Can't see anyone eating that
Funnily enough my legs still don't feel 'quite right' - my thighs feel heavy and I've got a tightness in my right calf which should prove interesting on the hills tomorrow.
Becky - if you're hungry all the time could you not eat a banana between your meals? Or are you not eating between? Actually I've just seen Rich's response - pizza sounds so much better than banana2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
I didnt eat all that 'breakfast' in one sitting so I am already snacking tbh...pizza it is then0

Okay in that case should I order a pizza??
This is tmi but basically nothing seems to be sticking at the moment - it just goes straight through me - very odd like my metabolism has gone mad...
Well you do need to start fuelling for your 25 miler.....pizza sounds like a good place to start.;)Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Mere niggles, Simply!:D
Thighs should feel heavy most of the time during marathon training, they're doing a lot of the work. The heavier they are, the more improvement you have coming.......
Any tightness just needs more caution early on in any run until the bloodflow has increased elasticity.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

These 'smilies' are getting pretty creative these days!

A quick update on our hero (heroine?) at Leeds parkrun, Tess Hornby-Smith.
http://www.parkrun.org.uk/leeds/Results/AthleteHistory.aspx?AthleteNumber=7714
Building on her previous progress, she has now notched up a further 4 PBs in her last 4 races, meaning that she has taken a whopping 24 minutes off her 5K time since starting out 2 years ago.
What a great example of how to do things the right way, slowly, steadily and consistently!!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
