Did another 7.5 at lunch today - check me out, I'm like a proper runner :)

Found it pretty easy, actually, even opened my stride out a little on the way back - but still took 1:15 or something, so have to wait a little longer for my world record :)

    Hey thats good - 30 mins ish for a 5k :D

Well done on getting out and to BT too :)

    Thanks Becky

not too bad as its my first for a couple of months (I am very self critical). Normally run it in 24/25 (its pretty flat) so there's much work to do, but it has come back to me fairly quickly, historically.

:DNeigh, neigh, and thrice neigh :D

    Thanks :)

my usual lunchtime course which, thanks to mapmyrun ;), is measured at a shade under 5km (4.82).

Cool. Well that's a decent distance. If you got halfway round in 14 mins that's a pretty good pace as well. Doesn't even need to be that fast, TBH. My lunchtime run was slower than that.

Keep building distance, regardless of speed and you will lay down the foundations for future improvement. And even increase speed int he short term, without even trying. That's my experience anyway.

I have a rest day today, but a killer of a route tomorrow

We have a 5 miler and at the end have to run up the infamous Carr Lane

    http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&safe=off&q=Carr+Lane,+Shipley&oq=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=Carr+Ln,+Shipley,+West+Yorkshire+BD18&gl=uk&ei=eol9S5OJBMKSjAfigMWKDA&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CAgQ8gEwAA

just walk the little yellow man up Carr Lane to Wrose Rd and you'll see what I mean!
