Fair enough (its actually not really hilly - just one hill thats a bit mean at 4k - the 3rd time you go up it!)
I'll see how I feel after Friday, might just give it a go, I'll let you know, Ooooh I could collect the running shoes too couldn't I? :T
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

julie_scot ran 5.67 km on 18/2/2010 at 9:29 AM with a pace of 6'12"/km http://nikerunning.nike.com/n/r/en_GB/612344652/1550947622/?sitesrc=fbk_ab_plus
Conclusion - hate running on my own, started too fast and so used to running in the dark
Very cold, it takes a while for my throat to cope. Had a panic attack while running through the town and everyone turned to look at me. But the best bit was when a cute little girl held out her ribena for me0 -

Good effort, Julie. I start all my runs off slowly (just can't seem to keep some slow). Once my lungs have warmed up and my heart rate settles etc. I'm much happier! you'll get there, it just takes a bit practice until you get it right.

Right then, will hopefully be joining squizz to do the Sheffield 1/2 on 25th April. It's my birthday on 24th so I can ask parents to have kids overnight as my prezzie and visit a friend in Sheffield on the Saturday (notoriously boozie nights with her so will have to be a sober visit. Best night was seeing Elvis in the city centre.....!) and then do the race on the Sunday0 -
I agree - I used to go off to fast but I find in this weather its very hard to breathe in that icy air so it keeps me a bit slower till the lungs are warmed up0

Just a note for the run's list - am not doing the llanelli 10k anymore, but will be doing the saab salomon turbo X on the same day instead... MUD>SEA0
