It would be good to have one place to keep stats, I stopped doing my blog because it was not acheiving anything compared to here. I still keep a written record, this year it's a little birdie diary that dh got for Christmas from an elderly aunt!0

Morning all,
Well I ran into work yesterday and wanted to do the same today. But I started off and my legs felt heavy, plus my recovering ankle was making itself known already, so I headed back and delayed until tomorrow. It's amazing how quickly the body gets used to the reduced workloads a forced layoff causes! Oh well, I'm going to make sure I get my 3 "key" runs in and keep upping my long run distance. The rest of the runs will be in the plan, but flexible. Once I've hit the 20 miles, I can start increasing weekly mileage some more.
As for the suggested running forum, I think it's a great idea and I'll definitely get involved if it goes ahead. I don't think it needs to replace this thread, I'm sure some of us will continue to come on here and post to help out newbies. Plus, it should probably remain the place to discuss any MSE-related topics? I've put up some sites before, so I'm happy to help out. Here are some thoughts and ideas I have:
1) The site would have a forum section, but should also feature some "static" content with general information, which can be edited if necessary. It could also feature regular users' blogs, although the forum could also feature a "diaries" section instead.
2) The site could feature an events and photos section.
3) The site would be the home of the proposed running club, so we probably should think of a name for both before putting it up!
4) We would need to decide whether to fund the site using user's contributions, or whether to use advertising/affiliate links etc. to help pay for it.
5) We could set up a paypal account for the club's finances. That would be the easy way to do it. Of course, this would involve paying charges to paypal.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -
Good thoughts BT - I'm good with the technical stuff but less good with orgnisation if that makes sense
Sorry to hear the ankle is still playing up - you might have to start aqua jogging soon0 -

Advertising/ affiliates are a good idea, probably need a bit of both those and our own contributions.Oh and name wise I was thinking of erunning
