Simply: I know it sounds daft but check its not the side of one of your nails cutting into the toes nextt to it. I had this for a few races, no idea why it started but am very careful to make sure I cut my nails the night before a raace:D
Am off for a 8-10 miler later with a friend, depends on how I feel after this flu, got to be careful as have 3 TKD sessions before the Soth west champs on sat .....can I class this as a taper i wonder?:DProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
Not daft at all catspaw I trimmed my nails last night (what's left of them) and there was no bleeding this morning. :T Hope your run goes well later - don't push too hard if you're still recovering.
Linda - that sounded like a tough but enjoyable challenge.2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Speaking of not dieting while running this woman is getting a serious bashing on RW:

For once I am impressed with the majority on there for offering sensible opinions0 -

500 calories per day????   !!!!!!?
Is she stupid? That's just bl00dy dangerous!
my son's hamster couldn't survive on that!
I'd suggest wearing a crash helmet whilst running for when she passes out and crashes to the floor!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

But she's not listening!
There's a pattern of people starting threads to ask advice but actually only wanting people to tell them that they're brave, wonderful, inspirational etc etc.
I'm sorry, but if you ask a question dont be surprised if the answer isnt as fluffy as you expected..........Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

They've made their own answer before they even ask the question and any differing opinions are just taken as a personal attack!
Personally I'm waiting for the fresh fish man so I can have my nice big plate of scrambled eggs and smoked haddock for breakfast

I have warned people on this subject before...never mind the risks of the diet itself to your body (reduced kidney function being a big one), running without sufficient fuel is very dangerous.
The problem is even at very slow speeds when you are burning mostly fat you still need glycogen stores to burn which come from food *rolls eyes*
I often wonder what is so horrendously bad that you put your life at risk for it??0 -
Also, people that choose these extreme measures are often the ones that swing wildly between ridiculously strict to massively over-eating, their body won't know what the hell's going on!
