I will. No backing out either as my friend is coming too and she's coming to mine first straight from work, then we have about an hour before the scheduled running time.

Sounds good Tirlittan - let us know how it goes :)

Red - actually thats a good idea if you can do the mental side because if you need to quit you can without too much of a walk home ;)

OK I've figured out a four mile out and back route to do twice - think that should be OK :)

Okay just remapped Sunday and its elevation profile is much better than I remembered:
    min 95ft
    max 207ft
    ascent 108ft
    descent -115ft

So its an illegal course - wooo hooo!

Nothing worse than a 2% mmr gradient either ;)

Total distance is 5.48 miles but thats mapped roughly because you have to take some of the corners wide due to no pavements so i think we can count it was 5.5 :D

    Hows that illegal?

Although I am intrigued how far into the earth's surface you would corkscrew down if you kept doing this lap.....:p;)

Talking of elevation and stuff, thought I should probably actually look at the Kilomathon route - http://www.kilomathon.com/?pages_id=1097

Its pretty sharp but thats only 30-40 metres at the top so about 100-130 feet ascent with some nice descents too - not too scary compared to your usual hills I bet :D

Yeah doesn't look too bad, nice warm up on the flat before it starts to get hillier. I will be mentally thinking "weeeeeeeeeeee" on the downhill between 17-18km :rotfl:

Don't think I'm going to be the slowest at least from some of the comments on here - http://www.facebook.com/search/group.php?gid=167727242099&ref=ts#!/group.php?gid=167727242099&ref=ts - know I'm way behind schedule but I worry about people who've only done 3.4 miles at this stage

Yep, Red, it looks like they're turning it into a joke event before its even started.

You do wonder why these people waste money entering if they cant be bothered training....they could just send the entry fee directly to charity if thats what they're about!

They're the same people who will, no doubt, have no end of moans about the event....lack of scenery, not enough drinks stations, medal not big enough, no XXL t-shirts left when I got to the finish:p
