...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
I was going to say.....Beer Tins is flying at the moment, Linda, all cylinders firing towards the marathon debut at Blackpool.
Talking of marathon first timers, theres a couple of guys on the RW 'proper running thread'(:p) just building up to their first marathons in April. One is hoping to break 2:30 in London and the other is hoping to smash the course record at the Lochaber Marathon, which just happens to be 2:18!
Both will go close even if they miss their targets. But that used to be the way of the world whereby track runners only moved up to the marathon after having years of solid mileage under their belts.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
