Shes pretty.....:D
I am very happy with my training.
I went for my 3 miler on Tues and as I set off felt a bit heavy. Then I chased a girl and ended up running pretty fast. Payback on Weds meant that I just felt I couldnt do my 6 miler. But... yesterday my 3 miler became a very comfy 11miler so I am pleased to have taken that day off to pick myself up.
6miles and 13 miles this weekend.
I think Tunbridge Wells hills are helping when I run in London.
I seem to run best in the afternoon......or evening. I eat in the morning then after my run.Sealed Pot Challenge 2013: No 1898

I thought that was frowned upon!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

I don't know - I pop out for a run and you hold a party!!! What a lot of chatter
I have to agree with Rich and beer tins about running on empty - I usually eat about 6.00 pm and run at 6.00 am so it's a good 11-12 hours for me too. A bit longer on a Sunday for my LSR as I tend to get up a bit later.
A slightly slower run for me today - not difficult given the wind and rainBut it was probably the most comfortable run I've had for a while.
I've definitely got a bit of tightness in my chest/breathlessness so I don't know what that's all about. Also, today's run confirmed what I thought yesterday - the running shoes I bought in September (and broke in ready for Abingdon) are past their best. My no.2 shoes felt much more cushioned today - I think it's time to relegate my no.1's to cycling and get a new pair purchased and broken in for NDVM.
Anyway, that's enough about running ......... let the banter commence2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Yawn
I suppose now is a good time to get out of bedDecided that i could have the day of work today and as my boss is off until next week he cant say no either
My first marathon wa 6:11 around london with a bruised leg. My slowest marathon when not injured was Halstead which was a 5:35 although it was nigh on 30C that day. Current time is 4:13 but i should be close to 4:00 or quicker really.Debt free Nerd number 1122 LBM Jan 2009 Debt @ LBM £40,086.88 (14/01/09)

Sometimes I find I'm a bit breathless if I run at a suboptimal pace (somewhere around the 9:30s) I actually find it easier to run more quickly or more slowly but for some reason that seems to be a workload that doesnt work well for me in terms of the lungs...I wonder if thats to do with the switch between breathing through your nose and your mouth and oxygen levels...
Anyway it could be that - hope its not a cold or some bugs0 -
It might just be the remnants of last weeks cold - it's not too troublesome just noticeably noisier than usual. There was a bit of heavy breathing going on.
It was lovely and wet through the country park today - nice deep puddles to run through. Unlike mascott I couldn't find anyone to chase though.
I'm glad Linda posted about eggs and fish earlier; it reminded me I had some smoked salmon in the fridge. So I've just consumed scrambled egg and smoked salmon on toast - very yummy.
Good morning kms - I've got the day off too. Good isn't it?? I very rarely get the time to pop in here when I'm at work.2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Whether i eat before a run or not depends on how far i'm running. I always eat before my long runs as 15+ miles requires it. I dont use gels on the way round races though although sweets people offer you on marathons are gratefully recieved
I'm perfectly happy going for 10-12 mile runs without food before hand and carrying no drink with me. Off course ultras are different so i'll skip that bit. Lets just say if its long enough i'm sticking pasties in my back pack
Naturally my next race is a LDWA one so there will be lots of cake etc on the way round and its the only event type where you are told to bring your own mug for your drinks.Debt free Nerd number 1122 LBM Jan 2009 Debt @ LBM £40,086.88 (14/01/09)
