Thats the 10th venue in 2 months visited. :D

This was a testing but still relatively fast course. I was pleased enough with the outcome, especially taking into account last night's 10 miler still being in the legs.

But the news of the day is that Becky's new racing shoes are now unrecognisable due to a liberal coating of mud. Nonetheless, I think she has still fallen in love with them considering that her pb of 24:12 has just been smashed into smithereens with a clocking of 23:25 or 7:33/mile. Oh, and a new best WAVA of 61.47%!!!

On the back of her fastest 20 miler ever just 6 days earlier it is clear that fitness improvements at both ends of the distance spectrum are coming along very nicely indeed.

Now to see what tomorrow brings.......

    Happy weekend running everyone.:D:D

    Hello
We ran 5 and 1/2 miles last night with run club (including running all the way from Shipley up Leeds Rd to Thackley Corner Rich!)
Felt really good and no feeling nasty afterwards! :T

Now going to register for the Yorkshire inter-club vets races.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

  • Thats a testing long drag up there, Linda, so if you can feel good on a session like that its a very positive sign. Well done.:T

We did it Wednesday night as well but then we started at the cricket club by Thackley Corner, right down Leeds Rd, up to Saltaire roundabout, along Manningham Lane, down by The Branch pub into Shipley and back up Leeds Rd (8 miles) That was hard running up Leeds Rd then but last night I was much faster.
