You look great on the moving one0 -
Mon - 6.3 miles in 62:53 9.59 mins/mile
Tues - 5.5 miles in 48:53 8:54 mins/mile
Well that was interesting!! All was going well till about 3 miles in - I was pacing around 8:30 a mile for a speedy 8 mile tempo when I had a funny dizzy spell which seemed to be in my left eye...anyway stopped for a few secs to check I was okay to carry on - which I was but sadly by then my legs had filled with lactic acid so I decided to call it a day and run back...
Anyway I am pleased with the pace considering how hard yesterday was and I'll just write the dizzy spell down as pushing the pace a bit too much I think0 -
Had to chuckle listening to the BBC Look North report by Krista Akroyd a few minutes ago.
She started by saying '...and I've just seen an unbelievable sight. Its -3c, the ground is covered in deep snow and I've just seen.............2 joggers'

Evening All! Love the pictures Ev. You look great! (Glad you set us straight, I always thought of you as an Eeeeeva too.
)
Becky - you are a speed merchant now, can't wait to see your times when you get your shiny new go-faster trainers. You'll be catching Rich up soon. The regular 5Ks are obviously having an effect. Had to laugh at your jaunt into the bushes. Us runners have no shame do we? I keep meaning to buy a She-wee but haven't got round to it yet!
By the way, your 'eye pain' incident sounds like it may have been a migraine. Do you suffer from them at all? Hope you're feeling OK now.
I'm doing 'Boot Camp' this week with my Ladies running group. Meeting up at 6.30am for a 4/5 mile run every morning. So far it has been great, but now that we have lots of snow I'm not sure it will be possible to continue. If we aren't meeting, I think I'll put my trail shoes on and go out on my own. It is quite special to run so early, I have never done it before.
OH is trying to do a Ron Hill and has vowed to run every day . So far, so good, but we'll see how long it lasts.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Now I couldn't get up at 0630 let alone run Chick, well done. Good luck for OH, think he's nuts I'm so looking forward to my rest day tomorrow.0

Well done on the early runs Chick!!! Are you enjoying running in the group then - hows the pacing - is it at a comfortable pace for you or do they push you quite hard?
Thanks for the compliment - am about 1:45 per mile off Rich at most distances/paces at the moment i.e. our relative LSR pace and our 5k times are both out by nearly the same per mile so a long way to go yet - one day!! Have to keep trying - especially as Simply has knocked me off spot 2 already
I wouldnt describe it as pain in my eye more like all my vision went funny and then I felt lightheaded...I think it was the cold air and me rather warm interacting perhaps..?
Anyway feeling fine now so will go for a little jaunt tomorrow of the 6.2 mile type0 -

It was nice and chilly this morning - it was still -4 when I left for work at 08.00 hrs. It's snowing heavily now so tomorrow morning's run should be a hoot - I'm really looking forward to it.
Sorry Ev - I'm another one that has been calling you eeeeeeeeeeeva. That's a cracking amount of runs you've done this week - well done.
Oooh Becky - you nearly knocked me off the no.2 spot as soon as I got there - that was close. Hope you are feeling ok now.
I nearly came on for a mega rant last night but was too tired so went to bed and had a good sleep instead. I looked at the results of the Somerley 10k and I have been recorded as 'absent'. There is a runner missing and recorded as '249?' - I was 299 - and I think this is probably me.
I definitely wasn't obscured by other runners at the finish as I ran on my own and finished on my own and I queued with everyone else to have my number ticked off on a clipboard before collecting my medal, water and choccie. The finish was a bit of a shambles as I wasn't sure where the actual finishing line was and didn't stop my watch until I came to a grinding halt in the funnel after the gantry - it would appear that they just didn't see me.
I had started to think that perhaps I had been harsh in my judgement and that a more experienced runner wouldn't have been phased by the 'odd' start and the stopping/starting but I think my initial reaction was correct. There are three pages of 'absent' runners for the 10k so I think that there might be a few more disgruntled peeps out there. Definitely a race to be avoided in the future.
There - I feel better now I've got that off my chest:rotfl:

Send them an email and let them know!!! That does sound a bit rubbish on the organisation front - Rich your thoughts - I've never experienced that before!?!
Nice recovery though - feeling tired in the legs after Sunday or are they okay??0
