Wow, Simply...I'm impressed.:D:D
Look at how you thought your body was giving up on you a couple of weeks ago (and claiming old age:p) and now you've knocked out a 20 miler when at least half of the running population will be claiming the weather is too bad to go running.
Coming on the back of last weeks' 15.5 miler it shows you are definitely developing plenty strength.
Now go and put your feet up and enjoy refuelling while Becky drags me out in the cold for an 18 miler.:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Thanks Rich- my legs were a bit tired in the last 2 miles but no niggles fortunately. My lovely OH has just made me a bacon sandwich so it's feet up and tuck in time.
Have fun on your 18 miler - but take care, it's icy out there
Bagpuss - I echo what Rich has said. Come on in and join the fun - you'll soon be feeling the benefits2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -

hi Guys - wow, you're all doing so well! I've finished work for the holidays now - hooray! Been working long long hours to catch up this week, so now my time is my own and I can run when I like.
Is there an easy page to find which park runs are on and off over the holiday? Couldn't see easily.
Pavements are a bit 'exciting' to run on around here, but the frosty snow under foot in the park is lovely.0 -

That was a good value run. Parts of it were run in snow storms so there was a mixture of new and old snow under foot - there was no problems actually running on it but the feel was similar to running on sand whereby the thighs really get overworked.
At the point when Becky threatened to eat my arm if she didnt get food soon it seemed prudent to call it a day....so time to start cooking now!:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Ooh, Rich you had much worse weather than I did - it's been cold (and breezy) but sunny here all day. I can sympathise with Becky on the food front - I like getting up and going straight out for my LSR but I'm always ready for my breakfast/lunch by the time I get back. Well done for braving it both of you :T

Oh, and if you want to watch a good running film, try 'Without Limits' on TCM tonight at 10:55pm.
If you havent seen it, it is very inspirational but, ultimately, tragic.
It is the story of Steve Prefontaine as he prepared for the 1976 Olympics. He held 7 US records simultaneously from 2000m to 10000m and was a firm favourite for gold at the Olympics. However, he didnt live to fulfill his potential....Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
