Nice targets there, UK...although I think the 1:20 is a good bit tougher than the 3:30!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Evening
Didnt feel up to a tempo after Sunday's run (still very tired in the legs!) so went for a nice 10k in 58:09 or 9:23 mins/mile - would have been faster but Battersea hadnt put grit down so it was a nice ice rink and slowed me down a little...
A nice cool one anyway - only about 5 other runners out as well! Where are you all you lazy lot0 -

That was a Michael Barrymore run - 'All White'
There was a whole range of conditions underfoot - powdery where the big fluffy flakes are currently falling, hard rutted snow from the previous few days and then patches of glassy ice where it is mainly water that has frozen, quite a variety to test out different techniques.
I've got to say that I do like it when they issue these 'Severe Weather Warnings' - it clears all the cars off the roads and leaves this peaceful, white wintery landscape for you to enjoy all on your own - nice:D

Ha, ha, ha - Icy Intervals - that was fun
A slightly cautious set of intervals this evening; I nearly turned back just after setting out but it wasn't too bad as long as I planted my feet firmly. I think it was more 1 mile freeze up/freeze down though - there wasn't much warm about it :snow_laug
Nice running Becky and Rich.

Wow thats pretty impressive Simply - I usually see a woman on Tuesdays doing hers in the park and did think 'I hope shes going for a different run today'0

Very impressive, Simply - it may be cold but its not enough to slow you down!;)

Good running you hardy souls
I've enough fighting the roads/pavements where I have to go out to try running at the moment. The handling of it all (grit, etc.) is very poor in some areas of Berkshire. Some (quite major) roads still full of ice0
