  • Up early today as woken up by a big thud as a huge slab of snow crashed off the roof - we have had lots overnight so should be fun getting around today!

Going back to last Saturday's parkrun these couple of pics give an idea of how cold the conditions were:

Those were big birds and the ice easily supported their weight:

Wow didnt know this early existed for you :p

It was icy but apparently it was -9 at Bramhall
  • Thanks for the ice advice becky. Rain has cleared snow from trees etc. (was frozen there yesterday still) but have now have ice (from Friday), compacted snow (from Monday), melted snow, and rain all refrozen *sigh*. Will try at the weekend I think as I have work and other things to do today.

Happy Xmas all of you! :xmastree::santa2:

Wow Rich you were up before me - I got woken by hail and rain lashing against the window but there's no snow here today.

I was up and out early this morning to get a run in before work - it was nice and wet again but no ice or hail. :D:D

Glad to see it's finally clearing for you krider - you're going to have nicely rested tigger legs when you get out again. ;)

  • I'm sulking 'cos family say it's really anti-social of me to go running at 9am on Christmas day, I have to stay and watch present opening with teenage kids. I tell you, if they're not awake, I'm going to drag them out of bed by their hair. I bet I could be back before they even get up. i'll just go for a run mid-day, before dinner - they can't stop me. But a park run would have been so nice. Oh well, there's saturday. (bloomin' Christmas).
