Well done on your runs Becky and evab
It snowed here last night but had mainly thawed by this evening. It was still icy in patches, with a very invigorating wind, so I'm pleased given the conditions.

Well done simply, good hills - did you slide down the other side?!0
-
:rotfl::rotfl: I did my best not to slide anywhere evab. It was quite difficult to negotiate some of the icy patches and the wind was sooooooo cold - do you feel better for having got out on a run?
It was great running round looking at the way people have decked their houses out with Xmas lights - some of them are waaaaay over the top2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Definitely feel better, I didn't notice many decorated homes round here - boring!0
-
Good luck with the park run this morning Becky and Rich (and anyone else that is running one!!) - I hope it's not too icy out there!
Rich - I've just been looking at the first page to see who was racing today and noticed that I'm still on the list for London 2010 - could you please delete me next time you are updating? Thanks
evab - I live in/near a city voted 'Chav Capital' (renamed Chavampton) - so it stands to reason there'll be lots of overly decorated houses :rotfl:2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -

I think a few people decided that staying in bed was the best option this morning! As we set off the temp was -8c and at race time it had climbed to a relatively tropical -6c, so a little chilly to say the least.
No complaints about the course, a lovely flat tarmac course which should provide some PB potential in good weather conditions. However, today it was completely covered in ice. So that, coupled with the fact that I got a little lost on the last kilometre  scuppered any thoughts of a fast time today.
However, defying all laws of common sense, Becky managed to smash last week's PB and go faster again. How I dont know.............!!!!Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Yep it look like I've taken another 14 seconds off so my pb is now 24:16 or so
(I also think I was third but the field was so small so its hard to tell)
