    Nice running Rich!

I'm just trying to decide whether to post something on here:
    http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/forummessages.asp?dt=4&UTN=141161&V=6&last=1&SP=#last

I know I should but I'm finding it a bit upsetting at the moment, but if it forces him to seek treatment then its worth it!
  • I dont get it!

It's not as though he's denying he's too thin or cant see it - but he asks for opinions and then ignores them.

The guy will be dead soon - his body will be eating his internal organs.

Gruesome stuff - dont get involved, everything that needs to be said has already been said!

I know, but...he looks as bad as my sister did - if no one had intervened in her case she would be dead.

I think people forget what its like to see that happening to someone they love and that it is possible to recover...too much stuff probably too close to me...have left it for now, he doesnt take pms so...

I never thought I'd see someone so ill in running, granted there are very thin people, but that ill is just upsetting.

That was a bit quicker than I intended this evening - I couldn't really see my watch because of the rain and thought it said 09.40 pace. I assumed my legs were just a bit sluggish because of last nights run - apparently not :o

That thread is really sad Becky he's obviously got an eating/over exercising disorder; it's a shame that his doctor doesn't appear to have picked up on it.

Did you enjoy your run Rich? It's quite fresh out there isn't it?? :D

Simply - you're making it all sound very easy at the moment. Isnt it a great feeling when you get into one of those phases?:D:D

Yep, I did enjoy my outing - although I was itching to push on with it. But being a good boy I'm going to restrict myself to a similar run tomorrow and then a rest on Friday....and then hopefully should feel raring to go on Saturday.:D

Well the recent comments on that thread certainly arent pulling any punches. I get the feeling he is relishing the responses though for some reason!!!

  • After my disastrous attempts at LSR's recently I'm relieved it's feeling a bit easier this week Rich. I think that having a couple of extra rest days last week helped :D

You're good, restraining yourself when you're itching to push on, which park run are you targetting this week?

  • But it shows how you just have to let your body catch up when it feels like you're overdoing it - and it literally does just need a couple of days normally to get everything back in balance as you have seen.

Most injuries come about by people not understanding the process and training through when they should be easing back.

Its South Manchester this week - the target race!

It looks like being the closest thing there is to a 'time trial' parkrun, ie its on tarmac and pretty flat!:D

And I noticed earlier this week that that will then get myself and Becky on to this list at 7 parkruns.

Then Xmas day at Banstead Woods will be 8.

Now where can we go on Boxing Day......?

That is really sad Becky, and very frustrating that nobody can seem to get through to him, I suppose it's even more limited how much you can intervene via a forum than in real life, really hope that someone close to him can make him see the problem.

I had a dozy moment last night and turned back at 1.5 miles - didn't remember till I got home that I was meant to be doing 4 not 3! Still, 3m in 26:33 (8:57/mile) which felt very good :)
