Managed another 4.1 miles in approx. 9:40 pace which I'm quite pleased with. Three runs in, dropping an average of 10 seconds per mile per run. Which is quite a quick return to roughly where I was :)

Will do another this weekend, probably Sunday. Got to go and purchase some new tree lights tomorrow we've discovered. Will head out earlier (when I'd run) to try and avoid crowds (some hope!).

Some good running from others though - and 15 miles on a work day Simply... Did you get up before you'd gone to bed?
Thanks for the hellos  .

  • Well done krider - you've bounced back well from your injury. Good luck with the light buying - yeuk to shopping at this time of year ;) I took a day's annual leave so I could fit my long run in - I think most of my leave this year has been taken to accommodate runs. Better than shopping though!! :D

Good luck to all our park runners this morning - hope you have good ones!!

Another fun parkrun outing and nice to see Beer Tins again!:D

About half the course is on tarmac and half on grass. The grassy bits were quite energy sapping but didnt seem to affect the times too much. I had a bit of a crack on the second lap and took the lead on for a short while but, alas, there wasnt enough in the old legs to sustain the effort enough to hold off the pursuers.

Nonetheless, a little quicker than last week and nice to be in the mix up in the later stages. As last week it was a really interesting race with just 17 seconds covering the first 5! :D:D

Beer Tins had a great run - even after missing the start he still bettered last week's Roundshaw time by quite some margin running 23:49.

But the honours today belong to our very own race winner. Becky surprised everyone, including herself, by running a new PB of 24:29 and taking the race victory.:T:T Not bad after 6 glasses of champagne last night, maybe we should all try that preparation?

Hiya all, just a quick one as in bit of a hurry.

No park run this morning as party was good last night and not home too early, or that depends how you look at it...;)

However, went for a run after work yesterday. The 4.24mile route. Was properly running this time and as I neared the end, I knew I was doing well so hoped I'd break the 40min barrier. Fastest run to date was 41.05. So was absolutely ecstatic when I stopped the clock at 38:49.55!!!!:D:D:D:j:j:j

  • Great job, Tirlittan.........it is always satisfying to break through psychological barriers. You'll probably now find that in weeks to come 40 minutes becomes run of the mill as you continue to strengthen up.

    Congratulations!
