  • Let me take a look at where it is - and how early I'd have to get up. (Only 'cos I'm so tired this morning - not like me!)

Becky- pizza im so envious I had spinach and chickpea stew.....after I had done 4m =40mins with the running club. Did 8m on monday no time because I havent uploaded it but it was slow. Last Thursday with running club did 6.08m in 1:01:23 (10:06 pace), last time I did 6m it was 1:12:46 (12:08 pace) in July.

    knocked off (pace per mile)
    sept-oct 19seconds
    oct-nov 11 seconds
nov-dec 29 seconds (so far expect it will shorten though).

So i'm erractic and all over the place :rotfl:Those paces do not include long runs of course but do include runs upto 9m (omg im not classing 9m as a long run ).

:D I think 9mi would be a long run for me...

I guess I have to start lenghtening my runs at some point, as 4mi is pretty easy...Not that I've managed to go for a run yet this week! Today's the day though!

This is interesting because it confirms what I keep mentioning to Becky about people out running.

Its a weird style that has only appeared in the last 5 years or so.....and is soooooo wrong. From what I've seen it is mainly young lads under 30 who seem to want to bounce everywhere in an ungainly and energy sapping way...
    Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

    Abingdon Marathon 17/10/2010, (Target=2:48:57) (6:27/mile)

Hahaha could have been me with my current 'limping but trying to run properly style' :p
  • Hello! :hello:

I am back from a bit of a sulk! I managed to twist my knee Christmas shopping... Really! So I had to not run so stayed away from here too so I didn't get distracted :o

Minor stumble down a curb, no fancy falling flat on face or anything comedic (for others), but stiff and weak knee for several days. I even had to strap it for the first couple of days. Still wish I know how I managed to do that much damage. Did a fair bit of (very flat, non strenuous) walking on it as it got better to keep it moving so I've not been completely idle.

I've now done a 3 miler at about 10 minute miling at the weekend after a 2 mile warmup walk, and yesterday did 4 miles in 9:48 pace. And my leg hasn't dropped off :) Or seized up. Happy to be getting back on (the running  ) track again now.

Hope people's running is going well. I've not caught up the missed posts, though will read back a bit. Seems to be large pizzas featuring - mmmm
