Would it be unfair to say he might be better off doing less talking about running and more actual running?
Glad you managed not to actually fall over Becky!
Went out for a 4 mile tempo last night but had to abandon at 2 miles due to sudden attack of stomach pain (it had been a bit dodgy earlier but OUCH). So 2 miles in 19:26 followed by 2 miles walk/ jog home with something of a sense of urgency!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hi guys, not much to report from me.
Just finished fitting the carpet in my back room and we have moved in. Now to begin work on the front bedroom. It never ends!
I don't know if anyone has posted this link before, but there is a facebook page for parkrun: http://www.facebook.com/parkrun
They send updates from time to time.

Meant to say had a reply from realbuzz regarding their useless quiz:
Thank you for contacting realbuzz.com with your feedback.
I am sorry to hear that you found some of the answers in the quiz misleading. The quiz was devised by a qualified fitness professional, as is all of the advice we give out on the site. We have taken your comments on board and have passed on your feedback to the editorial department.
Best Regards
Mmmm thats a useful engaging response - which rubbish school of marketing did you go to numpty!0 -
Booo another aborted run (half way round a 4.2 mile loop = cold Becky) - have definitely pulled something - not sure whether its leg or buttock so will go out for another go tomorrow and if its still aching then I'll rest on Thurs/Fri

Hmmm, well I think that all my aches, pains and niggles last week were viral (again) as they seemed to mysteriously diminish over the course of yesterday.
I don't feel 100% yet but there was no reason not to try an easy one this morning and it felt quite comfortable so I'll probably do the same again tomorrow.
I think the festive spirit is starting to get to people as several of the cyclists that pass me in the mornings shouted out a greeting today and not one of them was offensive. :rotfl:
Oooh red - a 2 mile trek home with a sense of urgency doesn't sound good. I hope everyone else has a good run tonight with no dramas.2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Oh no Becky - you posted whilst I was still typing away. Sorry to hear that you are still having problems; it's so frustrating isn't it???2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910

No worries - it seems to be stemming from a tight calf muscle thats putting everything else offline - its not surprising really considering the stride adjustments I have been making...a few days and it'll be settled

Glad to hear yours is getting better though

Ah, I'd forgotten that you were adjusting your stride - you're getting very good at being patient whilst these things sort themselves out. I've got a lot to learn

Didnt used to be - Rich's calming influence mostly - plus I've just had 3 great weeks, not going to begrudge a rubbish one now (plus just ordered a pizza to console myself
