Forgot his shorts! OMG! That's the funniest thing I've heard all week. Hope the pants were at least Calvin Klein's! ha ha - I'm thinking maybe not!0

Sat14/11 parkrun Black Park 5K 19:14 (6:12/mile) (Posn 3rd)
An interesting excursion to Slough this morning. It says in the course information that the course can get muddy at times - well that was certainly true and made it hard going and added to the actual distance run slightly.
There was also a last minute course change, not because of the underfoot conditions but due to the filming of Poirot on parts of the usual course. Thats nothing unusual though as the park has been used for Harry Potter films, Tomb Raider, Phantom of The Opera and Thunderbirds and many others I'm sure.
The race itself wasnt particularly fast because of the conditions but considering that the 2 guys in front were 2:38 and 2:26 marathon runners I was pleased enough just to keep them in sight until the finish.:D
Happy running everyone!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

This was my first Park run in the pouring rain, thunder and lighting - woo hoo! Very muddy and slippery, nearly went over twice, but didn't. Wore totally the wrong trousers, for warmth, but of course they got soaked and weighed a ton! Learning. So pleased I did it though. Think I was last, but there weren't many people there and all those at home in bed were behind me eh! Times aren't up yet.0

Ok I think I have just about managed to catch up on all the posts, you are all so busy
Some really good running going on amongst all the sickness- Big hugs and congratulations to those to need them (sorry not naming people individually- at work and really must get some done, way behind:eek:)
Hoping to get 8mile run in today though feeling exhausted so will see how it goes.(Family of 5: 2 adults & 3 children aged 7yrs, 4yrs, and 18months)0 -

I was wondering whether Roundshaw might get a little tricky when wet, Bj.
It sounds like you had a hard graft cross country outing there - well done for getting out and completing it.
There is something strangely satisfying about finsihing with legs caked in mud though, dont you think?:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
