    Correct!

Nope, no running tonight....it was a marginal call between whether to do an easy 10K or not.

If Saturday's parkrun had just been a normal train through race then I would definitely have gone out but I want to give it a good bash and use it as a sharpener for next Saturday's 10 miler....so rest seemed like the favoured option today with an easy 10K tomorrow!

And no, no alcohol for me....its just the down and out gutter lurkers that get involved in that sort of thing.:p:p

Never mind waterproof shoes.....we could have done with a boat in The Lancaster 1/2!!:rotfl:

Next time just strap an outboard motor round your waist and hide it under your running top!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • easy 10k????? I can't remember what an easy 10k feels like

Leeds Abbey dash should be a fairly easy 10k :D

He'd go out and run it at 7 minute miles too (faster than my mile reps!!!!), but hey ho - you will find it easy soon :D

(and then its time to start thinking about 20 milers and stuff :p)
  • OK, OK, so I'm wimpy about the wet feet - I'll get on with it and stop moaning eh!

i wouldn't pay to get into the running show, I'd get in as press. But was only interested if some warm winter running gear was likely to be cheap - maybe not! Becky, totally agree with you about Expo, we held our Salon Int show there - darn awful place, rotten location to get to. Didn't realise there had even been a sports exhibition on there!

I have to get some long running trousers though - any recommendations?
  • Hey Linda, you keep trying to persuade me to do the Leeds Abbey dash don't you?, it took me 47 mins to do 4 miles today (granted that was cross country muddy paths and all, but still) and I was cursing my oh most of the way round that.
