Ah well at least MIL has a cooked Lunch and I do her sarnies for later and open some fruit.
My Mum still cooks for herself and she always has porridge for brekkie, at 87 I think thats good, hope I am like her when I get to that age.:D
Hello and welcome Ma Belarch, you will love it in here, but be warned you will soon be as addicted as us...and as nutty :rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi May - love the halloween pics, nice to see you
Kathy - I have never seen a window that small do you suppose they looked through it with just one eye!!! I hope OH's finger is ok now, I will do my update tomorrow if that's alright
I am off to watch TV and finish Pudsey off just got the bandage to do then sew him up.
I started him last night and it seemed easier than I thought it would be, smaller as well.
Talking of pudsey I went into Greggs this morning for a fresh loaf and who was sitting on the counter? a lovely little Pudsey key ring so I got one for me and one for MIL, she loved it and now has it clipped to her handbag to show all the ladies at her day centre on Monday,

Oh Elaine I'm so sorry things didn't go well at the sale ...after all your effort & the disappointment of the weather ruining your last fayre
What will you do with all the things?
Your daughter is right tho 'it was still £35 LH didn`t have before'
I hope she can hold on to her optimism, as it will no doubt help her through the rough times
You seem to have a really close relationship with her and that's lovely
My DD & I are kindred spirits & it's great to know you are there for one another

Same here, last knock at 9.10 a little girl about 4 yrs dressed as a witch with her dad in tow
All the costumes were great though as I said before I filled 75 trick or treat bags & had to send DS2 out for more supplies!
I seem to get more & more children every year, that’ll teach me to decorate the house & give out good treats can’t stop doing it now though, I’m sure they’d be disappointed
In Search Of Me
Sounds like you had a lovely day, I’ll await the arrival of ‘some of isokes "enthusiasm" with anticipation :j

Something else to be thankful for , as so many people have poor/no relationships with their parents

Wow, there's a lot to read on here this morning! I spent yesterday feeling really slow and lazy for some reason, and kept dozing off. I did stay awake through Strictly, though.
Chalky - I'm so glad you're enjoying DD's visit - I can feel the warm glow coming through the screen!
Maytaurus - thanks for a bumper selection of piccies and some great links. I love the teddy blanket and the scarf, and I haven't explored the other links yet. We definitely need to find some 'immortal juice', don't we? Sorry you've been unwell and hope you get some good days now. If I discover some tiny people I'll try and get some photos!
A warm welcome to Ma Belarch -it's lovely to have you with us. I'm so glad you joined and I see you've already had a warm welcome from the others. Please feel free to ask any questions - between us all, we can usually solve most knitting, crochet and sewing-related queries! Hope your Mum enjoys her knitting, too. As for the sewing up - I don't think any of us like that bit, so you're not alone!
Elaine - sorry you didn't do as well as you'd have liked. Your DD is right, though, £35 is still £35. As Sylvia said about the jumble sale, I think people are more worried about money nowadays.
We only had three trick-or-treaters last - all black and orange witches that looked fantastic. As we're in a small hamlet with no street lighting, I wasn't expecting anyone! Still, glad I bought some sweeties, though, just in case.
I'm loving all the suggestions for names for groups of knitters and so on!
Well, I've nearly finished another scarf for a Christmas pressie, and I have some poppies that need the ends sewing in, so I think I'll get on with that today. We're back at the hospital this afternoon to get DH's finger looked at, so I shall remember this time to take something to do (crochet) or something to read (I'm reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time' by Mark Haddon which is a really unusual but brilliant book), to keep me occupied.
Anyway, I'll pop back later.
Have a great day, everyone.
