Hi peeps!
Here’s me, feeling quite a lot better today. Still got intermittent sneeze attacks & coughing a bit but the sore throat is almost gone – yippee! I’ll have to be fit ‘cos DS is arriving with his OH on Sunday & the spare room is still full of ‘stash’ & loads of Mums stuff plus all the odd bits of furniture which only get used when there’s a houseful, so must get my bum in gear over the next couple of days.
Shaz glad the court went well & you are now able to sleep a bit.:T
PippaS – your holiday sounds lovely, just the thing to set you up for winter!:cool:
Isom – what sort of blanket did you want to make? Have you tried the sideways shell one I posted the other week?
Orkneystar – fabulous pirate & what a handsome young man – so cute!
Psso – sorry to hear you’ve not been well, try to take care of yourself! Glad your DS has got a new job & that your DD is now back at work.:heartsmil
Chalky – I read your blog yesterday morning – sooo lovely to wake up to! Your piccies of that lovely blue Spanish sky made me wish I was over at my place, but I’ve rented it out for a couple of months so no can do – perhaps after chrimbo! I so enjoy reading your words – you make the pics come alive – Thank you!:T
Kathy, sounds like your doing too much again – hope you captured some more pics of work in progress – they keep us all slightly green with envy but so glad we’re not going through the hassle, still it’ll be worth it when we all come over to visit - :rotfl::j:T:rotfl: - ooh! thanks for the down to earth linky - the forum looks interesting!
Knitty78 – welcome thread – I’m sure you’ll like it here, generally we’re only slightly mad :j:eek::rotfl:

Good morning everyone.
Maytaurus - hope you are OK; we miss you.
ISOM - (((hugs))) to you; it can't be easy following a pattern if you're dyslexic, so I really admire you. And with thin wool, too!
Pam - glad you're starting to feel better. How often do you get over to your place in Spain? We have been taking photos so I'll be putting some more on my blog. Whether the place will ever turn into a Knitters' Retreat is anyone's guess! I sat crocheting in the conservatory yesterday afternoon; the sun was shining so it was really warm and I could look over farmland, so it would make a lovely place for a group of knitters or crocheters (I wonder what they would be called? You know, we say a flock of birds, a herd of horses - what on earth would a group of knitters be called?!) Mad, probably!
Elaine - hope you're feeling better now. Glad that DD is back at work, and that DS has a job.
Well, I finished a scarf last night - well, I say finished; I have some loose ends to sew in and I'll make a couple of flowers to go on one end of it (because I was going to add a fringe but I won't have enough yarn). It's a Christmas present for my SIL. I used some really nice sheeny copper-coloured wool I picked up at our local sort-of-charity shop, so the scarf will only have cost €1 and a bit of time!
I'm going to make some more poppies today, and do a bit more to DGS's lapghan. Well, that's the intention but, having been told that all the dust-making part of the current DIY is over, I also need to have a good clean up!
See you all later.

Rippling has started and I am enjoying it more than last time -- not quite so much concentration needed and assured all will look great no matter what colour combinations you choose. I am going in rows of 2 for each stripe and two shades together . Will post a piccie soon xx Will do some on the way to airport today.
