Kinsey - I've had trouble with Firefox, too. It sometimes takes ages to load pages (usually when I've spent time looking for knitting patterns or reading lots of blogs). I just googled 'pages taking too long to load' and it came up with several pages of answers and hints. I tried one that suggested turning off auto updates in Firefox, and I think that may have sorted the problem out. Try googling exactly what your problem is, and you may be lucky and find the right advice.

Jean - yes, I'm a bit miffed at the forum downtime tomorrow! I've decided I shall save my ironing and do it then! Sun is shining here, too.

Shaz - glad you've slept well and can now get on with things, without the court case hanging over you.

    Afternoon all :hello:

Thanks for the welcome back ladies :A

Kinsey - I agree I am lucky, it was our early Christmas present to each other and my birthday present, we never know what to buy each other now, so we save up and go on holiday. Booked it quite soon before we went so we got a really good deal. One rule for cruising (or any holiday for that matter) never, never, never pay the brochure price, it's surprising how much can be saved if you shop around. ;)
ISOM - I must have been mad, like it now I've been on the 'tasting course' though:rolleyes::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
shaz - glad you managed to get a good nights sleep at last
Orkney star - well done :T the outfit looks great and he is sooo cute. The yoyo sounds different, will have a look for some of that.... like I need any more wool :rotfl:
Kathy - the craftbits link is really good, OH has printed a couple of patterns off for me already, they look just right for Elaine and Shelley's stall's

Have finished Mum's ripple blanket :j also did a couple of Xmas stockings last night, just need to sew up the back seam, have some more bits left so will do a few more for you Shelley can't remember if I asked but do you want hedgehogs as well

Hope the postal stike does'nt last too long, having said that we had post earlier, and I thought today was the day it all started

    Off for a :coffee:now

Hi all, been missing for a few days so I can see I have a lot of chat to catch up with.
Had a few strange days last week - inner ear problem meant I had to take things slowly as the whole world went into a spin if I moved too quickly, and having more than a week of pouring rain didn`t help much. Just as well DD wasn`t at work, I don`t think I would have been very safe behind the wheel.

Been doing our favourite thing  for the past few days - no not the ironing - sewing up things. Hedgies are now stitched and stuffed, juggling balls ditto, squares are now pet blankets so now I can get back to knitting.

Had a package today from Jaqui (f1widow) with some lovely cards - thanks very much, they are super.

DD back to work now, seems to be OK.
DS has started working full time at the pub where he did p/t before. They are employing him as a duty manager now though so a step up from barman.

Just waiting to see what life will chuck at me next to deal with - hope it`s something good for a change.

Kettle is singing my song so off to make a cuppa, grab a biscuit (or two) and see what I`ve been missing.

    Back later.

Hello to one and all. Lots of lovely chat going on here so its been lovely to catch up with you all. Hope anyone lurking or is new enjoys posting soon
Maytaurus and anyone who has a lot to contend with -- gentle thoughts coming to you.

We pick dd2 up from the airport tomorrow as she is coming out for a week. So looking forward to a big hug and I hope the sun keeps shining!!

Been sewing with the dyed blankets for a few days whilst deciding what to tackle next. Now started on another ripple. They involve a lot of hooking and counting but do look beautiful.

Pippa - Lovely to have you back
    OrkneyStar-- pirate is great.
Kathy -- Thanks for king comments on my blog !
ISOM -- So glad Isoke is bringing you so much joy.
PSSO - Hope life is a little more peaceful for a while and vertigo feelings recede. I get that sometimes and it is horrible!
To everyone else a big hug and have a lovely evening
Try and do a good deed every day.

I'm a bit of a slow knitter but I'd love to help in some way. I'll take a proper look through the thread later but if someone could point me in the direction of where to get patterns or any other information I might need that would be great.

Knitty78 - hello and welcome. Doesn`t matter how slow you knit you`ll be welcome and anything you make for charity will be appreciated somewhere.

If you have a look here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=19076075&postcount=964

If you want to sign up for the Wooligans it`s easy, just fill in your details and Mioliere on here will `approve` you and you can see all the photos people have put on.

You`ll find loads of info and free pattern links. Be warned though, it could take a while so have a supply of tea and biscuits when you do it.

Crikey  Thank you for the information

I will take a proper look tomorrow (am out to my knitting group tonight!). I think several packs of biscuits will be needed as well as the requisite tea. :D
