  • Pam - So sorry to hear your bad news, it's so sad but I'm thinking of you.

My mum is getting over shingles, she's been ill since about June and the pain killers she was given made her very disorientated and confused, it was very frightening. She is being slowly weaned off them now and is more like herself but she says she can't remember the last few months very well. I started giving her some preemie knitting to do as sort of 'therapy' and it did seem to make her improve a bit.
  • aww huge hugs pfungi for you and pamspal...always so sad but at least the solace that she has a ready made slot in heaven but that doesent really make it better does it. Time for a moment at a time and just put one foot in front of the other...
plumber today and trying to do wrist warmers from free pattern...good pressie for crafty pepys...typing one handed as content pusscat in crook of my arm purring...she caught her reflection in laptop and growled!! Didnt like the look of THAT cat at all!! Have ads out re lodger but not the end of the world if I dont get one...

    Hi all.

Chalky - your photo is lovely. I love the colours you've used!

Have just looked on Wooligans and, yet again, some truly stunning photos of the wonderful things being made.

The sun is making a very weak appearance here, but I don't think it will last. I've put washing on the line, more in hope than anything else!

I've been alternating this morning between helping DH and doing some housew**k. Now he's sanding so I'll avoid the room he's working in because the dust will irritate me. As it is, even though he's done his best to seal the room off, the dust is getting everywhere. I knew it would because I had a good clean yesterday!

Anyway, will try and get some wool worked on this afternoon.
