ISOM - I'm so pleased for you, and Isoke, of course! Good that she knows she'll have to pay for the extra rent until her stuff has all gone. Enjoy the red!

Just a quickie -
had an email from Innocent, and they have extended the deadline for the Innocent Smoothie hats and things until the 30th October due to the postal strike (and lack of carrier pigeons)
So, we have another few knitting days girls!
D xx:hello:0 -
Thanks for that, PurpleTeddyBear - it's great news and will ensure, hopefully, that all our hats arrive in time! I'm sure everyone will be pleased to hear it.

Isoke, I have discovered, has a brain cell and can tell when its medicine time and is also exceptionally good at spitting it out!
Thanks for linky may - spent 15 on much hunted for wool for eczema goddaughter and at last found cotton/silk mix in the sale and the right color so ta!
Thanks for the poppy pattern...love them and will try and have a go! Its charity kniting sat so will get some of preemie cardi done. Are you coming seakay and AP?! (no pressure-just curious!)...will make a fruit cake me thinks...
hugs all...off to knit as been babysitting most of day...
margaret hope the pattern was the right one...its great when someone finds one for you!
It's in my diary and I'm looking forward to it!
I've started a 24" chest jumper for either Africa or Belarus and as it's in a royal blue yarn I thought that I might use any leftovers for a square for the Union Flag project mentioned in Loving Hands.
Also have some soft grey yarn which might do for a fisherman's hat.0 -
Hi all, yet another LAZY day here. Been persistently raining all day and windy with it. Yukky to be out in but luverrrly for sitting knitting inside, with a cuppa, in front of the fire. Only snag is I keep dozing off `cos I`m nice and toasty.
Telling the young `uns that I`m just catching up on the lost sleep they`ve caused me.
Tried a knitted poppy today but it`s bigger than I would have thought it should be. Used 4mm`s but think I`ll try smaller needles (10`s in old money) and see if I`m happier with that. Don`t think it actually says needle size on the LH forum, unless I`ve missed it.
Speaking of the LH site, I never really have a problem finding stuff there.
Thanks for the lovely post as usual Maytaurus, certainly cheers up the day. I got the email from Kemps too but you beat me to it. Has anyone ever used the bamboo stuff they have reduced ??
ISoM - good riddance to the lodger - better luck finding a kitty lover next time.
Margaret 52129 - hope you found a hat pattern for your wool - welcome on board, do pop in again soon.
Salome - as others have said, preemies uk is always on the lookout for prem things and Loving Hands will take absolutely anything. If you liked doing the oxfam jumpers Lou will always find a home for them, but anything from prem to adult sizes, blankets for people or pets, toys, anything at all in fact will be appreciated. All of us here do a little or a lot of charity stuff, depending on how much time we have in our busy lives and everything knitted or crocheted goes to worthwhile causes and makes life a little bit easier or warmer or happier for someone somewhere.
DD has managed to keep some food down today, so fingers crossed she`s on the mend. Will go and see if I can tempt her with some pasta, her favourite.
Have a good evening everyone - happy crafting.

Pleased to hear your daughter is feeling better Elaine. I was going to ask the very same question about bamboo yarn as I don't know anything about it except it looks a bargain!0

Looks just like him, Maytaurus - except right now he's completely spreadeagled on the bed showing all he's got and fast asleep! Will try and sneak up to take a photo! Thanks for the link to LH's latest challenges. I've sorted out some red and black wool for the poppies - I think I should be able to slot some of those in between doing DGS's lapghan. Have done a little on it today but had to work, too, plus empty a room for DH to start taping and jointing in. I'm going to sit down for a couple of hours and hope I don't do what Elaine does - doze off in the warmth - I'm very good at that!
Elaine - glad DD is feeling better today.
ISOM - I bet you and Isoke are celebrating right now, aren't you?
Off to check out May's latest link.
Have a great evening.
