  • Hello :j
It's good to be back again I have had more computer problems:eek::eek: but hopefully it's been put right, The best part about not have the computer is more knitting time so far I have finished 2 scarves, 1 very long wrap, a teddy suit for my dil friends baby, 1 christmas cake and now I'm half way into a wrap knitted in 1ply .
A customer of mine asked if I would like some wool and gave me 2 bin bags full, my OH now goes to bootsales looking for wool so at the moment my stash is growing all over the house I cant open a draw or wardrobe without wool falling out
I am sending hugs to those who need then :A BIG hellos to all the newbee's

    love lucie

:eek: Oh the poor Grannys !! Try not to hurt them too much Chalky :D

Just had a skim through what I`ve been missing - gone in through the eyes and out through the ears though (nothing to keep the info in the head )- so I`ll just say (((hugs))) to the poorly ones and hope you feel better soon. Lucky so and so`s to the ones in warm foreign climes and remind you of home ??? to the ones having horrible cold wet weather in France.

It`s been perishing cold here today so I`ve been sitting in front of the fire today off and on, doing a bit of a blanket which DD would like for the littlie coming, and debating what I will do for the LH challenge. Got some `hat wool` still so might get some more done with it and reduce the stash a bit (before acquiring some more :o)

Had DD at the GP`s today for a follow up check. Pee sample was OK so although she`s still being sick (even with anti vomit pills) she isn`t dehydrating too much, there must be enough liquids staying down to keep her going.

Feel a bit sick myself now that I`ve been reading through some of your posts.......somebody mentioned i...ing _pale_ ;)

Off to toast my tootsies again - will catch up later.
DS has come in asking for food ???? don`t know where the day has gone.

Hi all - I've been really MIA today, mainly because DH and I were kept waiting for hours and hours at the hospital for the check-up on his finger. The injury is doing well, but we weren't prepared for the wait - I kept wishing I'd taken some knitting or a book. Still, the French magazines have probably improved my French a little!

This afternoon we had visitors so I've not had a chance to come on here. I tried earlier then got interrupted - it's been one of those days, but I hope to get more time on here tomorrow.

Pam - thanks for the poppy pattern - will check it out and print it off later.

Orkney - hope you start feeling a lot better soon.

Jean - we've not had the rain yet, although it's forecast and has been overcast all day. It does seem to have warmed up just a little though, which suits me because my hands have really suffered for the last few days.

Tight As and SGT - it's good to hear from you both. SGT - how's it going in Spain? Well, I hope. We seem to have quite a European spread on here now, don't we?

(((Hugs))) to you Jacqui - if the ironing fairy turns up tomorrow, I'll send her over to you!

Well, I'm off for a shower and maybe an early night, so will catch up with you all tomorrow. Have a great evening.

Hi, is this thread for any knitting questions or is there somewhere else you can direct me to?

My dd asked me to knit a hat for my dgs so I told her to get anything over 4ply - and she turned up with a ball of Double Chunky that uses 00 size needles! I've not got needles that size, and no patterns. Can anyone help me on the pattern side. Ive seen a hat I was going to do, but it was in double or chunky knit in the round with one seam straight across with tassles at each end a bit like this one.

Do you think it would be ok? And do I need 00 size needles to do it.

    Thanks for your help.

Margaret, there are patterns for superchunky hats on 9mm needles here, here and
    here

I think the first one is not unlike the pattern you're after - tassels are easy enough to add. I found these on ravelry and lion brand - you may need to "sign up" to them in order to have access to the patterns but don't worry - ravelry is just an online knitting community and lion brand will send you an email newsletter once a week with free patterns - no-one will want you to buy anything! Hi - Thanks for the welcome back :A, Costa Del Sol has been a little over cast today but still warm/hot.

I've quietly started knitting again whilst OH is out at work :rotfl:I have discovered 1 or 2 shops (similar to the UK pound shops) that sell wool & they have quite a selection of the eyelash wool, self patterning wools etc, so I am stocking up on 1 or 2 balls each time I visit. I am going to attempt some christmas decorations just for my use & then when I have investigated the Spanish postal costs I may start doing some more charity knitting.

Good luck to everyone in their projects, happy knitting/hooking. TTFN.x
