    Hi everyone.

Orkney - hope you feel better soon.

Well, Jean and I have been working on a way of uploading the update spreadsheet she has worked on on to my blog but we are having some teething problems, so will have another go later. I enjoyed my phone conversation with her - she's always so cheerful!

Chalky - your squares and colours are lovely. Don't forget to show a photo of the finished result!

The poppies are great. Pam - yours is really lovely. I think I may have a go at making some because they won't take long - I'm not getting much in the way of spare time at the moment and it's actually making me cross how time disappears! I just don't know where it all goes.

DH's finger is still bandaged up; I changed the dressing last night and it seems to be doing well. He has to see the doctor tomorrow morning, so we should know whether or not the treatment has worked. At the time, the doctor wasn't sure if it would be successful and mentioned that it may need further treatment, so we're hoping for good news, otherwise it means he won't be able to work for a while longer.

Well, yet again I shall hope I can sit down with my wool this evening and get a decent amount done before bedtime.

Hope you all have a good evening.

    KathyXX

orkneystar, hope you feel better soon.
been a really lazy day today, sat on my bum all day waiting in for parcels2go, to pick up a parcel for lou, they came eventually at 5pm.
meantime, i have done so much knitting my fingers and arms ache :o
made another man's sock for LH's, just to do another to go with it, have knitted 2 matching teds for shelley, knitted a leg for a toy octopus, finished the back of a baby jumper, and a few rows of a jumper for myself., can anyone tell, i get bored easily and like to swap from project to project?
going for a well deserved soak in a min, then going to settle down and read a book 'knitting rules', sounds good to me lol

    Hi peeps, me again,

I've been fiddling with the crochet poppy pattern, I didn't like all the ends, so I've come up with this version which just leaves 2 ends to weave, please critique - the original is in the middle & my versions around the edge:
