I don't believe you good people. I literally go away for a day and you must have been up all night " chatting!" We will get moved again by the new year

I have just read through all the posts and of course felt very saddened by the fact that people may find us too cohesive as a group. I think it is very easy to be defensive but from me as one of the "chatty" ones I am sorry if anyone feels excluded . I honestly believe that such a feeling has never been intentional from any of us. I think it just takes time as has already been said. Some of the "older" members of this thread have actually been through a lot of things together- many sad, many happy and some to do with knitting!! That just gives us layers of shared experiences.

What is most important is that we ALL feel special and just have a little smile to think aside from all the chatter we are doing a little bit of good in what is sometimes a pretty hard place, this world of ours. If at the same time we become "friends" and are there for each other that is such a bonus.

So please no more talk of feeling left out. Join in and be a part of the bigger picture. Many of us have found a place of friendship, support, encouragement, humour and shared goals and interests and everyone is welcome to be a part of it.
Expertise is not important, the amount we produce is not really important, amounts of posts are not important but that we all feel special is.

Will get back in the morning re latest hooking but until then gentle thoughts to all
Try and do a good deed every day.

MAYTAURUS - THE GOLF BATS - you are so kind with all the pattern links BUT I have no intention of doing them on the needles THEY ARE BEING DONE ON THE KNITTING MACHINE, so I will adapt one of the those links you sent and see where we end up........had my sister take a photo of them and it looks like he has about 20 bats - that's not normal I am sure, I need to enlarge her photo and see what assortment he has. Oh and she said could I make the his favourite football club colours - COR I am really looking foreward to this one.........NOT.

Hi all - a bit late for me this morning, because I overslept. I think it's the cold first thing in the morning.

There are some lovely photos and great links here which I will catch up with a bit later.

Chalky - you always have the right words! Hope you have settled in now after your long trip to Spain.

ISOM - hope it's not long before you get another lodger.

Thanks for all the updates. As you will see from the last couple of days, Jean has worked on a great spreadsheet for the update which we hope will be 'launched' very soon.

I've finished my wrist warmers and they have been well-used already. I'll post a photo later. I also want to have a go at the poppy. Jean, it's a real shame that they are not sold here, isn't it?

I changed the dressings on DH's finger last night, and it's healing nicely. He's getting headaches, though, which I think is a reaction to the antibiotics, but we are seeing the doctor again tomorrow, so will ask him about it.

Anyway, must dash. Will catch up later.

    Morning all,
I hope you're all having a good day.

psso - hope your DD is recovering (hugs)

Maytaurus, for Poppy centres I'll be using the "magic loop" method to crochet mine, you don't get the hole - take a look at this tutorial
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHYVutk2iYY

I find it quite easy once I got used to it and use it when making the little toys etc. both for starting off & making eyes.

    Kathy - see you've posted as I'm typing - overslept again you're turning into a little bedbug!:rotfl:

    luv
