Sorry to hear you sad news, Shez, hard to stay "up" in these circumstances I know, but for your own sake as well as your Mum's you have to make the best and most positive use of the time that is left that you can
Not ignoring your kind invitation to tea, ISOM, this is the first time I've been back on the thread as had an unexpected visit from some rellies passing through - just an hour or so for a cuppa but after a long absence from home quite a bit to do to make the place look halfway presentable, even though it was just cleaning bathroom, hall kitchen and bathroom and hoovering lounge (which we didn't use after all).
Anyway good to see them even though it meant receiving the news of my Aunt's cancer, amoung other things.
Very shattered now, so just having a quick catch up with my online pals before researching the supplements that Dr wright has suggested that I take. I am going to rattle - there are loads! Will check foggy friends to see if any makes are recommended above others.
As usual you have given us loads of information MAY, I don't know how you do it but thank you so much!
I think that we should advertise for someone techy to amalgamate or index your posts in some way because there is so much useful information in them!

Sending lots of love to everyone -- especially Shelley and I know others have their hands full at the moment. Lots of gentle thoughts!
We still have our visitors with us at the moment so its full steam ahead but all well and it is very, very sunny and hot!! That makes entertaining a lot easier!!
I am missing " Operation Stitch-Up " but am quietly hooking squares in cool blues!!

Try and do a good deed every day.

Sorry to hear the news Shez, hugs and best wishes for you and your mum at this time.

I am planning on sending off a couple of parcels shortly to Shez and Chalky with everything that is in my sig. Might have to wait a week until I have some more money but they are all packaged up ready to go asap.

  • Morning everybody, just to let you know that Kathy rang on Saturday night, her "livebox" is a "deadbox" so she is off line. She hopes to get something sorted out this morning, so fingers crossed for that one eh.

After speaking with Kathy we decided that the KNITTOTALS link should just be posted onto the forum page on a weekly basis so I have attached the link below, no need to sign in, or sign up you should just get them straight off. If anything is wrong, or I missed something please let me know and I can change it.

    Hi everyone, I'm back!

Thanks to Jean for telling you all about my Livebox. Thankfully, a nice young man (well, he sounded young!) talked me back online so I don't even have to replace the box this time, which was just as well because the Orange shop doesn't open on Mondays so I'd have had to wait until tomorrow. He's going to send my instructions in case it happens again. Apparently, it just decided to deactivate itself but I felt really cut off from the real world without it. The real bonus was that I was able to have a lovely long chat with Jean on the phone - she is such a tonic when you're feeling fed up. I recommend her highly! Thank you, Jean - I'd be truly lost in France without you!

Thanks to Jean, also, for posting the link to the totals. We can't post links to our blogs on here any more, so it will be great that you can all click straight in to the link now.

Shelley - you've been on my mind a lot lately. Sending lots of gentle (((hugs))) to you and your Mum.

Orkney Star - it's great to hear all your news. Please don't stay away again - we all missed you!

Chalky - send some of the hot sunny stuff my way, pleeeeeeease!

Without the internet, the house is a lot more organised - well, I had to fill the time in somehow! I wonder if there are higher powers that cause us to lose our connection every so often so that we have to do some housew**k before Kim and Aggie are called in? Anyway, despite DH's best efforts at causing chaos, it feels a lot tidier here. I also did some more squares and a lot more of my own chair throw so the time wasn't wasted.

Well, off to read the posts I've missed since I went offline, so that I can catch up with you all.

Have a great bank holiday, for those of you who have one. Ours was last week, but I'm treating myself to another one today!
