Morning ladies - hope all well xx

may - lovely post - Ive had a look at the link for wool - Im really tempted (only problem is I succumbed to a Card Making CD yesterday which was incredibly naughty of me) I dont normally buy "new" wool just try to get what I can from charity shop - our other charity shop sells new wool but it is very sporadic and with having a "not going out" session at the moment Im starting to lack in wool

That reminds me actually my MIL is ALWAYS buying wool - buying it when she sees it cheap Aldi, Poundstretcher etc - sometimes she brings me the odd ball but only sometimes - saying she thinks I have enough:eek: shock horror can you ever have enough ........

shaz - how lovely a trip to Skegness - I like a good old seaside holiday - dont go much now - last time we went away it was to Yorkshire - that book 200 squares sounds good - is it knitting or crochet - pllleeease say its knitted - can I be rude and ask where did you get it? - hope you and the boys have a lovely time and a well deserved rest xxxx
Oh and by the way dont say the i*****g word !!!! tee heee xxxx

seakay - hope you are going to hear from Dr soon and things improve xxx

mrs m - Do you know when your fete is - I have a feeling you said June? If you can let me know a cut off date for sending to you that would be great xxxx

k2tog - hope you are feeling brighter - great to see you xxxx (anymore Oxfam jumpers on the needles ................???)

pippa - thinking of you and Mum and hope things improve xxx

chalky - hope you are ok xxx and that DS has improved xxxx

    salome - big hugs xxx

kathy - I had a quick thought how is our knitting retreat coming on or did we decide to go to roamins ???? :rotfl:- you always sound so busy - its a worry you are over doing it xxxxx

Right must go Im coming off the computer before the Wool company lures me in ..... hugs to all sorry if Ive missed anyone - take care have a good day J xxx

Jaqui - for knitting charity items, Lou at Loving Hands will send you wool; just email her and ask. I think Pippa recently had a boxful from her (at least, I think it was Pippa - I could well be wrong!) but someone definitely posted to say that a box of wool had been delivered to her. Loving Hands gets donations of wool and other things, which is why they can send it out to knitters. I think she mentions it on the LH site.

COOOEEEEE SMEEE back home where I should have stayed. Not quite up to speed yet but getting there slowly. Still to read the gazzillion pages you have all typed while I was MIA but hope to do a bit of catch up later on this evening.

I had a wonderful holiday - not at all relaxing or stress free, managed a barbie in the snow in Scotland as well as one in the boiling hot sun last Saturday in Kent. Got lots of good news from family and friends and only wee bits of bad news, I am typing up a sort of diary of the whole thing - so don't hold your breath!

Got to meet my HERO CYBER PALS -started with the AMAZING MAYTAURUS, the UNBELIEVABLE LOU, the WONDERFUL PSSO, as well as loads of other really smashing people - I do believe we are very lucky on this forum 'cos you are all so gorgeous and friendly.

This is to be a quick post as I have a load of things I really do have to get done this week not least of all my French tax forms I will call back in again real soon but until then biggest cuddles to you all because I really did miss you loads NOTE TO SELF - never ever again leave home without the LAPDOG!
    XX

  • Morning folks, didn't get the opportunity to catch up with the posts, we have a slight leak from a cold water pipe in the bathroom that seems to have been going for some while, so last night was spent floundering around in the loft space to see if we could find out where it was coming from GUESS WHAT ? We didn't find it, so this am we are back up the loft having another shuftie in order that we can sort it all out....have family arriving in one months time and I just know that the pipe work is all behind plasterboard and wood panelling.....I am laughing now, but it could so easily turn to tears. Back a bit later on when I get a mo. HUMUNGUS CUDDLES AND LOVE BEING SENT TO YOU ALL.

Hope you sort the leak out, Jean - we've had several here and some have been very difficult to track down. It might not be a pipe, though; perhaps a loose tile on the roof is letting rainwater into the loft which is dripping into the bathroom? Would be worth checking that no tiles have slipped before you start dismantling the house. Good luck.

The doctor gave me some anti-allergy tablets a couple of weeks ago and I've only just started taking them because I had to get round to translating the French instructions! I've taken one a day for four days and have gradually got more and more tired, and have a headache (I never get headaches) so I'm not taking any more! I didn't even ask for them - the doctor suggested I tried them; I must have looked like I needed them. I do react badly to perfumes, air fresheners and so on, but the tablets haven't made me feel any better and I'm tired of being tired, IYKWIM!

Anyway, hopefully, if I don't take today's tablet, I can get another square done this evening.

ISOM - your day at the beach sounds lovely!

Well, off to help DH a bit before I go shopping for food - not that I have the energy for anything right now!

    See you later.
