    Hi everyone

Hope you all had a good night's sleep! I did - it helped that I didn't doze off on the sofa and managed to complete another Mrs Twins square, and started a Chalky one. I also did a few more rows of the throw I'm making for the chair I'm restoring, so quite a constructive evening for a change!

Shez - hope things are going well for your Mum.

Jean - any news on the leak?

I've just posted the latest update but, apparently, we're not allowed to link to our blogs on here or even mention them in our posts..... so I'll just leave it at that and hope you can all find it!

Today, I have a few chores to do (including a pile of ironing that will get done while Saturday Kitchen Live is on the box, then I hope to get a bit more crochet done and, also, update the thing I'm not supposed to mention! I've taken loads of photos lately - of the renovation work, my crochet, the cat, and the things I've been planting outside, so I really must spend some time on that.

I hope you all have a great day.

(((Hugs))) to all who are poorly, anxious or MIA.

  • Oh Shez, sending really big hugs your way for your and your Mum.

So sorry to hear the diagnosis, and all you can do is make the time as special as you can. I can completely and totally sympathise (and understand) where you are.....pm me if you need to "talk". Mum had pancreatic cancer...

It's awful, and your head will be everywhere, so all I can say is take time for you and your family.

we're here when you need us.

    with lots of love,

    Dawn xx

Popped on to catch up and am so sorry to find such sad news -- Shelley I am sure you must be feeling absolutely devastated. What a terrible shock.
Please remember amongst all this sadness and shock to keep trying to keep as calm as you can -- take time to breathe and just have a moment or two of calmness.
This will not only help you be a tower of strength for your Mum but also help with your own lovely little family.
As you are supporting everyone just remember we are all here to support you.

Lots of love to each and everyone -- xx
Try and do a good deed every day.

Right them, a proper post this time!
First things first, I have not read all the posts I missed (far too many you chatty lot!) but anyone who needs hugs I am throwing a massive pile around the room right now :j:grouphug::grouphug:- so help yourselves!
I did see shezmit's post though- so sorry to hear that....an extra large hug for you! :grouphug:
I cannot believe it has been so long I have looked at this thread. We are all ok, DS is growing fast and becoming a right wee terror at times! 3 next month! Since I posted last my laptop broke and so I lost all record of what I had knitted (:() and some of the photos (although thankfully many on flickr and/or facebook!)...still annoying though! Have not done a lot of charity knitting- still have a pile of things waiting to be posted but they have been shoved to the back of the list as I have been posting e-bay stuff (had a massive clear out of DS's clothes, all his baby things etc- keeping only a few boxes for sentimental reasons :o). I managed to get some more wool today (well acrylic which is the sort I use for charity stuff)- 20p per ball so got two almost complete 100g blue mix balls and also some bright stuff for knitting another mobile cover for me!
Any way sorry it is so short. DH is off out tonight and once DS is asleep I will pop on and read some more of your posts!
    xxx :D
