Well, I was online again by late morning then back off it by 4 o'clock this afternoon! I think I have a very sensitive Livebox that reacted badly to DH's constant messing around with the electrics and phone cables. Luckily we managed to get it sorted before I threw the thing out of the window (which, by the way, is one of Jean's suggestions!)

Jean - it's great to see you on Facebook, especially the photo!

Chalky - thanks for the FB suggestion and, also, for the offer of some decent weather! Which book did you get for your MIL? The one by Jan Eaton? If so, it's the one I've got and I love it. YOu'll have to get yourself a copy one you've seen it! Enjoy tonight's feast! In honour of Jean, we are having stovies tonight - one of our favourites!

Jaqui - hope DS did well in the competition?

Shez good on your mum for having a party, tell her to have a few glasses for us. I wanted to ask if things would have been different if they hadn't cancelled the appointments but I didn't like to. It's tragic. ((hugs))

Lots of gentle thoughts to everybody with troubles big or small xxx
The last full day with our visitors today so Spanish Cooking School declared a success -- apart from me shooting juicy red chorizo all over the curtains!!! So glad it was me but would have been better if it had been DOH!!!

So chill out today as it is still so hot with a very hot wind!! I am not complaining but its nice to be under an umbralla near water and its getting too hot to be " Hooking!" ---

It was DDIL who I gave the Jan Easton book to and she is loving it. A trip to Amazon methinks

PSSO Auntie Chalky thinks Jayden must be growing so much -- Could we see a picture do you think?

Ok must go as everyone is stirring out of their showers -- Breakfast to pop out !!

    Hi.

Shez, so sorry to hear your news :-( Hugs and prayers from me xxxxxx
Lovely grey morning here, supposed to clear up by dinner time :-)
Half term :-) :-) I look forward to the school holidays as much as the children lol.
Still finishing off the bolero lol. Nearly done now. Just doing the borders, then that should be it. Have my head doing overtime of the things I want to knit, and I'm thinking that I could do with more pairs of hands to do all the things I want to do lol. My knitting daughter is turniong out baby jumpers for the new mums at church like anything lol. She's putting me to shame with the amount she's getting done lol.
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all in need ((((hugs)))) love you all.

    Hi everyone

Woke up late this morning so am feeling a bit rushed and that feeling will probably stay with me all day.

Shez - like Kinsey, I had hoped that all the cancellations weren't responsible for the terrible situation your poor Mum finds herself in, and am even more saddened to hear that they were. You must be going through such a rollercoaster of emotions - my heart goes out to you all. The party is a wonderful idea, sad though the reason for it is.

Maytaurus - hope you are having a good day today?

Today, we have our neighbouring farmer cutting the grass (weeds, really!) on our building plots for us. He cut the grass in his own fields yesterday - he has a tractor with proper circular thingies on it that cut through like a knife through butter but, unfortunately, our grass was a lot longer than his! Last year he did it all on one of the hottest days we had; today it's cool and a lot easier for him. It will take him about three hours - he always insists he doesn't want anything for doing it, so we have to sneak some cash through his letterbox! There's no way we expect him to do it for nothing. It would take us about three weeks with our lawnmower!

We have to go out and buy more materials today (how interesting is that?!), then I hope to sort out what I've been crocheting. I need to parcel up some stuff for Lou, and some squares for Mrs Twins. I've done quite a bit more on the throw for my chair; I shall buy some paint for the chair itself today and get that bit done, too.

I don't know if any of you get the weekly email from Crochet Spot but this week's included a great pattern for a cushion, made from squares that are stuffed individually. Here's the link http://www.crochetspot.com/crochet-pattern-chair-cushion/ I fancy making some for my kitchen chairs - I would never have thought of making a cushion like that. It would take a bit of work but would be well worth it, I think.

Anyway, I'd better go and see if the farmer wants a drink.

Hope you all have a good day.
