evening all; startingdoing a long one and its vanished..

    F1 go gently on yourself...
Socky well done on not drinking - youll feel much healthier for it once the alcohol shifts out of your body and sleeping will improve plus more money for wool!
Miol my entry should read 5 blankets sewn up...
Had nice day - went to church and then came home and sorted the kitchen so flat is pretty much back to me and feeling much less cluttered...wool in 6 boxes!! eek!!
    Started knitting this today;
    http://www.laughinghens.com/knitting-pattern-page.asp?patternpageid=1082
albeit sowly - doing it age 1 for a couple in church's baby! Its so sweet...have been getting shoulder ache so thought a bit of knittig instead of hooking would balance the pain!
Chalky food sounds yummy! i like my name too!
Still having lappy probs and think that its fried but going to try and rescue it but have mums for now!!
Off to bed in a mo with a very hot Isoke! Clearly doesent like the heat!

Your latest blankets are lovely as always Linda. Beautiful colour combinations and sewing up
    I especially love the pinks
But obviously the gorgeous Buster outshines even your best work!
I love seeing all your news and fabulous pics on your blog as well as here
The little dogs for the wedding were worth all the trouble in the end weren’t they?
I hope all is well with your DS1 now and that he takes time to think about overdoing things.
The trouble is, that sometimes our bodies/minds are pushed over the edge by things that we cannot change or control and things that we have no choice about doing because we love and care about people, but I for one have had to re-train myself to prioritise the things that are most important and not worry about things like keeping the house pristine ... it used to really stress me if there was a bit of dust or a mirror with a smear on it etc but now those things just have to take 3rd or 4th place (at least lol)
It still bugs me, but not enough to make me push myself into another heart attack thanks, it’s bad enough coping with the affect the M.E. has on my muscles etc
I’ve got quite a lot of squares for you, some newborn hats and I got you some hedgehog yarn
I know it’s not right to fuel people’s addictions ... but as they must give people so much pleasure & help with p&p funds ... how could I resist?!?
I thought you were back for the whole of the summer
Would you like to pm me your address in Spain to send them to, or shall I hang on to them until you get back to the UK?

    mioliere

Glad to see you’ve been enjoying time with the family, such special times
I bet they love coming to see you and all the progress you’re making with the house
Love looking at all the info/pics on your blog, as for
Where on Earth does the time go? ........ I wish I had the answer so that I could try to get some of it back
    :rotfl:
    Re’
It doesn't seem to matter what my intentions are - I plan what I'm going to do when the day is stretched out ahead of me, then all the plans go haywire’
Gosh ... I thought I was talking to myself again then ... my mind is full of all the things that I need to do ... just that my body doesn’t go with the flow!
Those old railway sleepers, sound like a real bargain Kathy and I hope all your plants are now settled in to give you a great show over the next few weeks!
Please try to stay off ladders and tables and particularly the combination of the 2!!
You’ll definitely have k2tog after you with that wagging finger!
Those buttons are super Kathy. I love nice buttons
Something else to resist the temptation of buying!
They’re quite expensive now as well aren’t they?
I’ve had some pretty ones off Ebay recently for the little purses etc
Pleased you decided to get orange trees, I’m sure you’ll love them!

    ISOM

A lot going on with you at the moment isn’t there?
Know what you mean about ‘one week blends to another’
Well done on helping with the night feeds! ... Great idea!
I hope your mum is feeling better
Re ‘ikea and a patronising ******’ lol
It’s like when you go to buy a car and you ask technical questions ... and as for asking them to lift the bonnet to look at the engine ... well ... they always look at me as if I’m from another planet!
    Definitely a male thing!
Loved the pics ... beautiful crochet and even more beautiful Isoke ... awwww ,she’s so lovely and looks so chilled out !
Ps ... please can you explain to me the meaning of ‘’a crisis free patch’’ cos I can’t think what it could be :rotfl:

    f1widow

    As you say ‘
oh how children worry us’ and it doesn’t matter how old they get, you still worry about them don’t you?
Sounds like you’ve got a lot to cope with at the moment.
You’d better not be overdoing it either
or you’ll be getting that ‘wagging finger’ from k2tog as well
Hope you’re settling in to your

and enjoying your garden whilst the sun is shining! :j

    Pippa.S

You’ve got a lot going on around you at the moment haven’t you?
Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better and I hope all the poorlies are improving!
The flowers your DS1 bought for your MIL are beautiful, what an awful shame they couldn’t be left with her
You could print a picture of them for her, now that you’ve photographed them!
The things you’ve made for LH are lovely & such cute bargain bears .. clever you for re-homing them!

What is it with all these missing cables for peeps to show us there pics?
I was getting picky withdrawal symptoms!

    Hope you’re enjoying the sunshine
Have you tried the crochet Oxfam alternative jumper yet?

I hope the results of your fasting blood test was reassuring and that you are feeling better

Hope you & the boys are well and was sorry to hear about the problem you had with your ds's meds
But I’m not even going to start on that topic , cos I might be writing this post for a week then (instead of a day lol)
Suffice to remind you of my feelings about the medical (so called profession)

    angryface.jpg

Glad you enjoyed your walk and are feeling a bit better ....
The sunshine and warmth always helps doesn’t it?
Just wish we got a lot more of it! :j

    psso

Hope all is well with you and the family, (extra positive vibes for your DS) and that you’re taking full advantage of having your lovely DG and having lots of cuddles, I love babies
Glad you enjoyed the knitting show and meeting up with oor Jean, she’s a bit ‘spesh’ isn’t she?
Have you started using the lovely wool you bought yet?
    As you said it
‘would have been very rude to go away empty handed. ‘With all those lovely yarns
OMG it’s so hard to resist ... there’s always something that takes your eye that you haven’t got
    ‘in quite that shade’ etc
I really don’t think I will live long enough to use my stash and I still can’t resist sometimes,
I keep telling myself ‘I’ll just buy this and then I won’t get any more’
I think I’m addicted to wool purchasing!
It’s a bit like Kathy said about the plants ‘I have now definitely stopped spending on plants - I think!’
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have you had a go at the blue Oxfam jumper alternative yet?
I’m going to try the crochet one, but ... must sort out quite a few wips first lol

How long before you go to live in France permanently, or have you already done it?

Hope you enjoyed your ‘duvet afternoon’ .... don’t think you could cope with the duvet today!

Really Awesome pillowcase dresses! ... Your sewing is beautiful... You’re so clever!

I know that your craft fayre has been re scheduled twice now, so will you let me know when you want me to send the things I’ve made for you?

    salome

See you’re as busy as always, plenty of babies to keep your needles busy by the sound of it, without any charity knitting
Hope your son enjoys Turkey, I love it there ... and all of the Middle East
Especially the historic sites, friendly peeps and being ‘far from the madding crowd’ etc .
Some of my favourites sites are in Turkey Ephesus, Pamukkale, the ghost town of Kayaköy .... ......... ooooooooh ... now I’m all ‘Turkeyfide’ and wishing I was there... especially riding through the pine forests and finding all sorts of hidden places ... that’ll teach me ... I’ll have pangs of wishing I was there for hours now and have to look at my photos etc! Lol
Have you finished the lacy bolero yet?

    Seakay

Hope you are having some good days
Hope you‘ve all enjoyed the sunshine this week end, makes you feel so much better doesn’t it?
I haven’t actually been away from the house since I met up with the lovely Jean and her sister with my DD ... but wouldn’t have missed that for anything!
Have done quite a few bits of crochet tho
Hoping the weather will help & that I might get out a bit, especially to go and see my Mum .....
Anyway, hopefully will have some energy to do some things in the coming weeks

Maytaurus - what a fabulous post! Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts. I hope you have a great day and that the sun is shining on you. My ladder-climbing days are over now, thank goodness! As for the buttons, unusually for France, they are not too expensive here - it's just very very difficult to choose because they have such a good selection. I treat myself about once a month because I can't resist buying them!

Well, yesterday we had a lovely day. Our friends came in the afternoon and we sat outside chatting for hours. The weather was perfect, as was the company. It was lovely just to sit and chill out and, after the chaos of the last week, it did us the world of good. It's bank holiday here today, so a bit more chillin' will be in order, I think!

Despite not doing very much yesterday, I was still tired by the time we sat down in the evening - must have been the heat! I just did a few more rows on the throw I'm making to match the cushion (which still hasn't been sewn together!) for my chair. I think I may run out of the wool I am using but, as I'm just doing simple treble stripes for the throw, I can just stop when the wool runs out then buy some more when I'm back in the UK. I also want to get a few more Chalky and Mrs Twins squares done. I must also post off the preemie hats I've made.

I've been very lax with the update lately but will try and get it done tomorrow - the time is whizzing by here and, every time I think about doing it, I get interrupted. There just aren't enough hours in the day. I must also update my blog - I've taken loads of photos of the house and garden. I really must get more organised!

Mrs Twins - thanks for a lovely post. The blankets are looking truly gorgeous.

Well, I suppose I'd better go and do something useful. The sun is beaming away and it looks like another perfect day is on the agenda today. Hope it's the same for everyone else.

Good morning, sun is shining again, isn't it lovely?

Lovely chatty post again maytaurus, no I haven't tried the crochet jumper pattern yet. New baby grandson is due in three weeks so my mind is a bit one tracked at the moment.

mioliere it sounds as if you had an idyllic weekend.

Chalky I get squares patterns from ravelry, which is dangerous as I also get sidetracked!

ISOM and Shez hope your mums are feeling better, sunny days might help.

Shaz it sounds like you and your boys had a good weekend, hope you're all ok.

Love to everyone, especially the ladies we haven't heard from lately, xxx

Hi everyone - hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather... I got a little sunburnt but its not too bad - who would have thought that being in Wales at the beach would mean sunburn :) wasn't expecting it to be that hot really.

Hi Maytaurus yes I got wool! got some lovely peach colour for baby and also some red aran for ds2 so I can knit him and ds1 a Jacket each for Winter. and then I ordered an aran knitting pattern too! so basically I spent too much but it felt nice to order it and then it was good when it arrived too :D

Still cannot find my camera cable anywhere to upload the chicken piccies! I will be having another search today as it has to be somewhere! and I saw it not that long ago too.

Best wishes and hugs to all :D
