Had a day off from the hospital today OH and DS1 went this afternoon, DS1 on his way home now, was going to stay the night but he has'nt seen much of his family this week as he has been in France working so he decided to go straight back home.
He made a video of the girls on his phone and his Nan was thrilled with it, not sure if she really understands it but the girls were waving and said they hoped she got better soon.
He took some flowers in for her but they won't let the patients keep them so I now have a beautiful bunch of gorgeous tulips, carnations, Gerbera(sp)?and various leaves on my hearth and they look gorgeous.

Thanks ISOM I did have a sort of chill I spent a lovely afternoon in the garden tidying up, digging things out and trimming some bushes off. Lots more to do but will have another go tomorrow sometime. I love the blanket clever you I have'nt a clue how to go about hexagons !!! and the bag is coming on a treat well done :T and ISOKI is gorgeous and such lovely markings :)
f1 - hope you manage to get into your room, what baby hat pattern do you use, is it different to the vent, top knot or stretchy ones?
Kinsey - seems like everyone is busy this week one way and another:D

Just got the decreasing for the top of the last sleeve to do on the chunky sweater, then sew it up and do the neck.
The pattern I am using is one I used to do for DS1 and DS2 when they were young its very easy but looks good, I may do one for DGS later on.

Found the camera so will take a few pics and put them on here.

Sending (((hugs))) for all MIA's and the all poorlys x

Hi everyone hope you are all OK and have had a good day.

We've been busy in the house and garden, had visitors for lunch then talked ourselves into buying two gorgeous orange trees which we re-potted this afternoon. They were on special offer and a real bargain. I have taken photos which I hope to post on my blog tomorrow. As it is, we are whacked out and going to open a bottle of Vino Collapsio in a minute.

ISOM - both blanket and Isoke are absolutely gorgeous!

Pippa - (((hugs))) to the family.

Sock-knitter - glad you are sleeping better.

Jaqui - hope you got your cards done.

Hope all the MIAs are well and that everyone has had the beautiful weather that we've been enjoying here. 31 degress is promised for tomorrow; that's plenty hot enough for me!

Have a lovely evening, everyone. I'm going to do another square from my book now before the wine takes hold of my brain!

and these are the latest things for Lou, including the balaclava for a GIANT!!I have put a teddy in one of the ladies slippers to give you an idea how they look, the square in front is what they look like when finished but they stretch sooo much and are so easy to do I may do a few more pairs. The stripey thing is a hot water bottle cover....yes I know just whats needed this weather I dont think :rotfl:

The teddys were my bargain 2 for £1 in a market in Birmingham a child somewhere will love them, had to hide them from the girls and DGS or they would be elsewhere by now ;)

    Have good evenings all

Hello to everyone--- just popping on to say Hi!!!
Hope all well and I think there is lots of sunshine in everybody's back yard.

All well here and our guests are chilled and happy. Spanish Cookery School is working out so well. I would recommend it to anyone who has guests that they know really well and who are staying for a long time.
Last night DOH and I served crostini and drinks then Spring Salad with Watercress dressing followed by Prawn and Clam Spaghetti == All lovely but tonight's Coquille St Jacques followed by Moroccan Lamb with Spicy CousCous and NO washing Up was even better.

Been hooking with blue today and I loved it so much I had to blog about Blue!!

Hi everyone on this gorgeous gorgeous day! Hope you are ALL enjoying the sunshine today! It's bank holiday here tomorrow so the weather is perfect for the long weekend.

Chalky - your grub sounds wonderful. I just love meals that involve no washing up! Like you, I'm really missing Jean; it's far too quiet round here without her, isn't it? Plus, she's the voice of sanity for me when things get just a little too French round here!

Pippa - the flowers and your Loving Hands items are gorgeous. Well done.

Sock-knitter - hope you feel better today.

Jaqui - I'm sure you'll get your cards done soon!

Well, I should be working online this morning (to make up for spending work time in the garden!) but we've had several phone calls this morning, one of them telling us that several friends are calling in this afternoon, so we will be lazing around all afternoon drinking some ice cold beer, I think!

Anyway, have a great day, everyone.
