Hope you feel better soon (as I said in my post MEN !)The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane — Marcus Aurelius0 -
Morning all,
Well I decided to Crochet last night after finishing the stockings, and it is going surprisingly well (if you don't count the minor blip where I managed to turn inside out and the outside became the inside lol, was just last two rounds so rippled out and will do properly!)- I am making DS slippers.
Maytaurus- hope your mum is doing ok, and it sounds like you are struggling....take care.
Kinsey- hope your virus goes away to naughty virus land....I have had something over last few days too and I know what you mean about feeling less like crafting....especially if you ache!
Shaz- sounds like you are having a tough time, hang on in there.
Moliere- enjoy that cuppa! The rippling sounds like fun.
Ok hope the rest of you are behaving (;)) and welcome any newbies.

Hi. I found the site. Hope it's ok to post it on here ? It's crafty threads n things lots of lovely chatty crafters on there. I don't post that often on the site now a days, but I do like to pop on and see whats going on etc.
Did some of my baby jacket last night. Trying to get better disciplined with my crafts etc. I got into doing my family tree last year, and that took over BIG TIME lol. Now calming down a bit with it, and really do need to get back into my knitting etc, as there's loads of stuff I want to make :-)

Morning all,
Sending ((hugs)) to Shaz, Kinsey and Maytaurus, Hope you all feel better soon. Cuddles to Isoke and Zen too. Poor little one's.:lovethoug
Chalky - welcome back glad you had a safe journey albeit a long one,but what a lovely blanket, your so talented. I was also the one picked last at school for anything sport like, too short and clumsy I even used to have to be paired with the teacher for country dancing as no one wanted me. :rotfl:
Shaz - Love the clown, brilliant colours.
Apollonia - Love pudsey, I have the pattern now but I have so much else on the go I'm resisting the urge to shove it all in the bag and make him first.:D
Mioliere(Kev) - How's the work going? you know your supposed to stop every half hour for a cuppa and a digestive, it's rule number one.:rotfl:
ISOM - Enjoy your bacon sarnie, Mmmmm.
Well I'm off for a lazy day on the sofa with me needles. Lucky me.
Hugs to all.xx:jWooligans Totals 2010:

Sorry me again. Earlier I posted on another knitting thread on here. I have lost my link to a knitting forum I go on. I can't remember the full name of it, and I can't find it in Google, I know it has CRAFTY or CRAFT in part of it's name. I think it's run by a lady called Jacquie who lives in the USA and one of the moderators is Melody Yarns. It has a lot of other crafts and stuff on the forum as well. If any of you know the forum I'm talking about, would you mind giving me the link please. Thanks :-)
Is this the one?

Shelley - O good glad another one is on the cards I have a few things ready for you
May - nice to see you back, lovely post as always, glad your Mum is ok.
:wave:WELCOME to you Salome you will love it in here, anything you want to know just ask there is always someone ready with an answer
I think I really have a ripple problem
blanket-1 is spending its time across the bottom of the bed,
blanket-2 is getting there it's for mum as a surprise :shhh:
blanket-3 for me is a just started WIP all bright colours this time, my own fault I should'nt have gone into attic24, I get all enthusiastic whenever I do;)
Took me ages to decide on the colours though, I did a small piece using the colours I had chosen, ripped it out a few times until I was happy with it, so now I wont forget which colours I decided to use where
better go we are off out to the trade place
back later

Hi
Shezmit – I guess my parcel still hasn’t arrived? It must be almost 2 weeks now since I sent it, I guess it’s caught up in the random postal strikes somewhere in the country. I’m disappointed as there were lots of little Christmas stockings in there (I got hooked on making them) but hopefully it will arrive before your next stall.
Apollonia – Thanks so much for the link to Pudsey Bear.
I’m in the process of trying out some of the Jean Greenhowe rainbow dolls and a couple of knitted amigurumi (sp?) animals so along with Pudsey Bear I’ll get them all a go and if they work out I’ll try to get them to you Shelley for your next stall if you would like them.
These lovely little characters have sidetracked me from the preemie clothes for now, but it’s all in a good cause. Many years ago I used to knit all sorts of toys, particularly the Jean Greenhowe ones, and it’s all coming back to me now how much I enjoyed it.
Sorry to hear that some are having bad times, best wishes and hugs to you all.
ISOM – hope you have (or have had by the time you read this) a wonderful day and that the sun has shone on you. As you say, sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference.
All for now but Shelley please let me know if my parcel eventually turns up.
Helen

Hi everyone - haven't had much of a chance on here today. The ceiling still isn't down but I can't say I'm bothered right now! We've been plastering and painting this morning, as well as fitting in a food shop so that I can keep the next few days free of errands, hopefully.
Thanks to Maytaurus for a fabulous post - I'm saving the links for when I have proper uninterrupted time a bit later! Sorry you've been feeling unwell; it's such a shame that you don't get DLA - it it worth you asking the Citizens' Advice Bureau if they can help get you re-assessed? Glad your Mum's pacemaker is good to go for another six months.
Kinsey and Shaz - hope you're feeling better now.
I have found some yellow wool for Pudsey - it's not the sort of egg-yolk colour in the pattern, a bit paler really, but I think it will still look the part. The pattern looks dead simple, too, so I shall make some in between rippling! Thanks, Apollonia, for posting the link.
Heldun - I'm sure your parcel is just held up in the post, but I know how concerned you must be about it. The Royal Mail don't consider a parcel 'lost' until it has been missing for fifteen days, but, after that, you can ask them to track it for you.
Well, I'd better get back to 'Kev' mode, I suppose! It's so time-consuming but I've been promised most of the weekend will be renovation free! I need to spend more time with my wool!
