Hi all, hope you are all well and the poorly ones are improving.

Chalky – nice to see you arrived safe and sound. You`ll have to get one of the crochet hooks k2tog told us about, the one with a light on, so that you can do your hooking in the dark.

Mioliere – sorry `Kev` - (that`s my DS1`s name) that your work was held up and things didn`t go to plan. Hope your gaffer isn`t too bad to work for.

Shaz – your clown is great, someone will be delighted to get him and he`ll bring lots of smiles to a needy child.
I think I`ve probably said it here before but I couldn`t crochet until I followed attic24`s instructions for her summer garden granny squares – have done 4 blankets, just one big granny square but they look fine. Managed to follow the instructions for the ripple and instead of ripping it out when I`d done a bit, I carried on and made it into a scarf. If a dimwit like me can do it anyone can. I`d been trying to master it for more years than I care to admit just using books etc. but her instructions were soooo easy to follow, with all the step by step pictures so that you could see what it was supposed to be like. Go on - have a go.

Pippa S - the hats were a very old battered pattern my mum used to use, practically falling apart now, and the bag came out of my head !!!

Maytaurus, LC Wilson – hope you are all hanging in there and life isn`t being tooooo much of a b ----. Roamin in the gloamin , nice to see you back, but not quite in `hooligan mode` yet I see.

    Back later probably.

ps forgot to say Salome - welcome aboard, hope to `see` you on here again. Don`t be shy, they`re a lovely bunch (some of us are a bit loopy or cottonwool brained) but amazingly we`re still welcome !! And it`s good that we can enjoy our favourite pastimes and help others in need at the same time.

I just checked and the knitting pattern is available on the Children in Need web site.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey/fundraising/ideas_arts_crafts.shtml

The knitting pattern is a 20 page pdf but the first 18 pages are showing how to actually knit - the pattern is on the last 2 pages!

Woohoo!! I can add links to my posts now.

    Here is my Pudsey:

I used straight stitch to do the spots on the bandage and his face - the pattern said chain stitch but I can never get my chains even!

Just home and Isoke and I are feeling sorry for ourselves...Isoke met uncle dave, the vat, who is lovely and confirmed what I thought - shes about 8 weeks not 12. She had her temp taken and was not impressed! Currently nuzzlig into my blanket which she obviously sees as mummy..and is on rice n scrambled eggs to sort her tummy out...I'm feeling snivvely so dosed myself up and will be in bed early...have a day out with friend - bacon sandwiches on the beach as my belated bday pressie so mustnt be ill! Will have a peek at the new blog first and try finish my scarf before bed. I have the pudsey pattern and happy to scan and send if you need it but assume the online one is the same?
ps well done on pudsey and clown!
Hugs may if youre lurking...along with others...

Good to see you back Chalky. Love your ripple blanket – you were busy on the journey!
Always Poor not sure about any specific 4 ply patterns but believe size is about 16” x16”. Try knitting pattern central maybe for some 4 ply patterns? Or ravelry.
Shaz – gorgeous clown. Well done with all that sewing, he’s great.
    Hi Salome :hello:
Love the hat, scarf and bag set Elaine.
Top tip re the Children in Need site Apollonia and love your Pudsey bear – and oh no, you’ve started Chalky off on one :rotfl:
Kev, just had a look at the new blog – love the renovation pics
Lorna, hope you are around and OK
Pam, you are late on parade tonight – is that because of your late one yesterday, or busy surfing ?
