Pippa thinking of you and your family, hope you get some good news.

Chalky that's a really pretty blanket, and I like the edging you've done.

Phew, finally have a few minutes to sit down with a cuppa at the pooter.

Had a busy day today. Got up to beautiful sunshine so DD, J, and I set off for the knitting show at Perth. Arrived about 11am and his lordship promptly decided he was hungry, typical male. DD did the needful while I had a look round to see what was what. Met in with one of the ladies (grizzelt) who comes to the Stonehaven meetings of LH, who had already been buying up lots of wool. Then met Alana (Wolfy14) who introduced me to LOU and her companions from Kelty. LH name badges were handed out so that we would recognise each other and could say hello.
Had a good look round the stalls and admired the work picking up some inspiration and ideas - no charge for looking fortunately. Still no purchases.:A

Went to have some lunch but while DD had some lasagne & chips,I just settled for a piece of cake and something indifferent which was their version of coffee - it was hot and wet, that was all it had going for it :(

Bumped into Lou again and she was surprised that Roamin hadn`t appeared, she was beginning to think her car had broken down or something.( Ahem, Before that DD had picked out a LARGE ball of blue wool for little boy things and I`d snaffled 3 balls of random coloured wool - don`t know what I`ll do with it but I`m sure I`ll find something - i jus t liked the colour. :D)
However not long after that Lou`s daughter gave me a shout and told me Jean was outside, so I have now met one of my `virtual friends` in the flesh !!!!!! Yippee, big hugs all round. Blethered for ages and got on like a house on fire. Knew we would, but it`s nice to be proved right.;)

Been babysitting as DD is off gallivanting with her friends, but Mr Grumpy isn`t willing to settle for some reason. too much excitement seeing his `Auntie Jean` maybe do you think ?
She`s really having serious withdrawal symptoms as she can`t get computer access, poor thing.

Chalky, no wonder you had a sniffle last night, anyone would be worried if their offspring had chest pains  I know I did when DS was in hospital for those few days before Christmas. At least your DS might take heed of the warning and slow down. No job is worth risking your health for.

Pippa, sorry your MIL is unwell. Many people seem to have problems which have gone unnoticed for years. I suppose medicine has improved so much in more recent years that underlying health problems are picked up more easily nowadays. Hope she feels better soon. Fingers crossed for your friends as well.

Ah well peace has been broken again, better get back on duty I suppose.

Hugs to all who need them. See you tomorrow.

Good morning Gals, Thankyou all so much for the welcomes, I feel quite special!
Elaine, so glad that you managed to meet Jean and enjoyed your day at the knitting show, more cake? you are my kind of girl.
I had lots of excitement yesterday, I was supposed to have a new storage unit delivered on Friday afternoon for my son's room, anyway they called and said delivery would be on Saturday at 11 am, they duly arrived got the unit through the front door and then it got stuck trying to get it up stairs, lots of pushing and shoving and sweating going on, my mad moggie choose that precise moment to try and get up the chimney! Picture the scene the grunting guys at the bottom of the stairs and me upstairs trying to catch the large and very dirty cat before he trailed the soot everywhere in his wake... not a pretty scene of domestic bliss:rotfl:
Hopefully today will be a bit more peaceful , might try to give Mungo (the moggie) another shower as he still looks like a Goth on bad hair day:p
Hope you all have a super Sunday.

    Hi everyone.

Finequine - sounds like chaos reigned for a while yesterday! Hope the storage unit has found its rightful place and that poor Mungo is looking like his old self!

Elaine - how lovely that you have met some virtual friends! Glad you had such a good day yesterday. We're all missing Jean like mad - it's just not the same without her, is it? She must be so cross that she left her laptop behind.

Chalky - hope DS is feeling better today.

Shez - hope your Mum has a good day.

Pippa - thinking about your friend and hope he's recovering.

Maytaurus - I hope you have a great day today.

Well, two more preemie hats crocheted last night, while I decide how to put the squares together for the cushion I am making for my old chair. The hats are so quick and easy to make that they will be an ongoing thing for me until I use up all the baby colours in my oddments stash. I shall also keep making squares for Chalky, Mrs Twins and the lapghan that will go with the cushion on my chair.

Amazon have dispatched my books and they should arrive by Thursday - I can hardly wait. One has 201 crochet block patterns and the other has 100 flower patterns so will be well worth waiting for, I think. I need to think of making something special for my Mum's 80th this year and I'm hoping that the books will inspire me.

Well, the sun is shining and it's going to be a lovely day for potting up all the plants I bought yesterday so I shall start that as soon as I've cleared up the breakfast things. I'm also on standby to help DH plasterboard the vaulted dining room ceiling. I have to stand on a step ladder and I really don't like even low heights. I helped a bit yesterday which was bad enough and that was at the lowest end of the ceiling!

We've been looking after our neighbours' mad dog for the last five days. He's very hyperactive and difficult to walk and he gets so excited when he sees us but he's too much for me to handle on my own. When he jumps up he towers over me and, although he's very friendly, he scares me! Luckily his owners are back today so he will settle down again.

Anyway, my update so far this week is:

    Preemie hats: 4

I hope everyone has a lovely day today.

hi all - what a hectic weekend, french class, then back home for lunch and into the car and down to brighton to see my MIL. out for dinner, back home for a kip and this morning a bit of gardening for MIL and then straight back to london to sort stuff out here. i am beginning to really panic about the move - i dont know why, but there you go. the only thing that is keeping me sane is the crochet and knitting that i do.

chalky - lllloooovvvvvveeee the blanket. i showed my hubby and he was most impressed that you could make something that good out of some of the plain squares that i sent you. the edging is brilliant. he thinks you really have a skill! silly man never said that to me after i made a ripple blanket big enough to cover our king size bed! chalky i do have some more squares for you if you dont mind, but i will wait until 1st july to send them.

how is everyone today, it sounds like you have all been so busy.

welcome finequine and hello there may, lovely to see you.

isom - will pm you about my work stuff, perhaps later in the week, but it is quite long, and i am sure, very boring for those who aren't in the position that i was.

oh well, out to sort some things out and to have a private word to the weather man to ensure that planes are flying to france on tuesday.

    Hi Everyone

:rotfl:dpixe re DH. I can't imagine doing a ripple blanket big enough for a king size .
Chalky, glad you are sounding perkier. And once again a beautiful blanket -I can't believe how brilliantly they all come together.
Pippa, glad things are looking a bit better. Make sure you don't overdo it yourself or I'll get May's finger wagging smilie out again! :naughty:
Good to hear you are making the most of the garden Jaqui.
Kathy, know what you mean about the long winter and it can be a real biting wind in WSM - brrr. Ho long will the "being Dave" continue on this phase?
Arlene, sounds like you had a mad day. The cat certainly picked its moment!
Elaine it sounds like you had a great time at the show. So pleased you managed to meet up with the others, and how restrained!
