(((Hugs))) to you and your Mum, Shez - I hope everything goes well with the scan.

Oh, Chalky - the (((hugs))) are still on their way. Love the photos on your blog. Rod looks as fantastic as ever and the photos of Dublin are lovely, too.

Fingers crossed for your mum Shez, presumably they could have done all this months ago?

Cyber hugs Chalky, for any reason or none.

Hi all, hope you`ve all had the kind of day you like - busy, quiet, dealing with woolly things or gardening duties etc etc. Whatever tickled your fancy. :)

Chalky - glad you enjoyed your time in Dublin (and Rod) We were there the summer before Jim had his first heart attack. We found the natives were very friendly and had a lovely holiday touring round the country. Been to Belfast a couple of times as well with the archery team.
Sorry I missed your later post - it must have been a family related one from reading Kathy`s response and enough to upset you if you had a few sniffles over it. Have a(((((( BIG HUG)))))) from me anyway, it`s the least I can do as you`ve given me so many in the past year. Have a dinky sized one from J as well, Auntie Chalky ;). He`s sitting here on my lap as I`m typing this with one finger while his mum is seeing to his bottle. Learning `putering early.
I was just saying to one of the girls at the LH meeting today that my `friends` on here were more supportive when Jim died than some of my real life friends. Feels like family. We`ll all lend an ear and a shoulder to cry on if need be, whether we have our own problems or not. You know what they say about a trouble shared...........

sock knitter - if you find your cable and it has a friend with it, can you send the friend home to me please. My bloomin` one has been awol for ages and of course no-one has seen it / moved it.

Well, it was our first anniversary of Loving Hands meetings today. So there was cake, more cake, quiche and nibbles and non alcoholic beverages (couldn`t be drunk in charge of knitting needles and crochet hooks) :A on offer along with lots of chat and laughter. There was some knitting going on and a sewing machine demonstration for a couple of the girls, one is definitely on the lookout for a machine now, she found it was much easier than she thought. If you`re lurking Arlene jump in and join us here :rotfl:.

Lots of talk about the knitting show tomorrow at Perth. Hopefully we`ll get there, DD & J are coming to keep me company so it`ll be a day out for us all. DD has an 18th birthday party to go to at night so we won`t be able to stay till the end of the day but the upside is .....I`ll be babysitting tomorrow night.:D not much knitting happening then I suppose.

shez - hope things go well for your mum. You must all be very worried.

Have to go now as kettle is singing a lovely song. Night night all, see you tomorrow.

absolutely agree, the boys HAVE to come first, and fingers crossed they get an appointment sooner rather than later. You have my number...

so much for "me" time - even though I have not especially done anything, I just seem so tired at the moment, had pjs on at 7pm but am still not in bed! My brain seems to be racing and butterflying all over the place, so even when I do go to bed, it takes me ages to get off to sleep, and then it's broken so i wake up more tired and sleepy than when I went (phew...that was a ramble and a half).

Anyway, I had a blood test yesterday for all sorts of things, including thyroid, diabetes etc., and I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything (except water) from 6pm Wednesday night to time of test which was 8.40am Thursday morning....I was a bit hungry!! will get results next week, so can't go worrying about something I can't change I guess.

Have done yet another boob (box is now almost half full, and it's a huge banana box) - great way of using up bits and bobs. Have also counted the number of flat hedgies I have (all ready to sew and stuff to send to Chalky when she's next over as I didn't sort myself out in time) and at the last count it was 45!! I know I still have oodles of eyelash sitting in the blanket box under everything else, so more to come at some point.

Am trying to use more stash up to give me room to really get underway with Project Pink - has been started, but I keep getting distracted. Must organise myself - I seem to have a split work/home personality where I am so organised, methodical and "get stuff done" at work, but really diorganised and flit from one thing to another at home. Not sure if that is a good thing or not??

well, big hugs all round, and I will try and do individual bits over the weekend....

    Dawn xx

Ooooh, no secrets with you Elaine!!!
Ladies I have been following you all on here for ages but this is my first post, although I feel I 'know' all of you. I am a very basic knitter but have enjoyed and felt encouraged and inspired to try a bit harder since joining the LH group in Stonehaven.. a lovely bunch! And after trying a few rows of stitches on the sewing machine this afternoon, I definately want one! I'd also like to learn to crochet after seeing all the great items on here.
Any of your super fresh cream cake left Elaine??? LoL

Hiya Arlene, thought I might `shame` you into coming on board. Sorry.
    Well, no I`m not really.

I`m sure you`ll fit in here whether you post little or lots. I know you`re a shy, retiring little soul really.:p

Had a piece of the cake with coffee earlier on but there`s still a bittie left. See, I told you that you and Barbara should have had another piece.

Have you decided if you are going to be a `bad mum` or not ? If you are, I`ll probably see you at the knitting show tomorrow. We could have gone together but DD & little J are coming so not much room in the `puddlejumper` of a car I`m using just now.

Been on the late shift with the little lad so off to bed now, eventually.

Welcome finequine, nice to meet you.

Lovely to see you maytaurus, hope you're feeling a little better.

Mrs moneypenny love all the pictures of the things you've made, especially the angel pockets. Is there a pattern on here for them? I would like to try to do some, my sewings not up to your and Jean's standard though.

    Love to everyone. xxx

    Hi all.

Maytaurus - what lovely links. I'm going to have to make that gorgeous dress for Summer! Hope you have a good day today.

    Chalky - (((hugs))) to you.

Elaine - I know we all wished we could have been there for you at such a sad time but it's lovely to know that you could really 'feel' the support and good wishes we were desperate to send you. The virtual friends on here are truly priceless.

Arlene - a warm welcome to you. Any friend of Elaine's is just bound to fit in here straightaway. I hope you enjoy it here.

Sockknitter - I hope you and the boys have a great weekend.

Well, I took a break from sewing up my squares last night and crocheted two preemie hats which I will add to my sig later.

I posted the update on my blog yesterday - click into my name at the left hand side of this post, then click into my homepage. I hope it's correct but please let me know if I've made any mistakes!

Hope you all have a great Saturday.
