hi
thanks for all the lovely welcomes. So far I've been practicising really!
I've started on the squares now - took a while as kept doing the wrong sizes (the knit-a-square.com instructions had my square come out as teeny!) and think I've found the number of stitches to CO that I need to 8". Here's hoping anyway as I think I might go a bit mad if I have to start again, again!

evening all,
Just a quickie to say a huge, massive thank-you for all the positive feedback about the Noahs ark toy! I find it very hard to stand back and look at things I have made without thinking of things I would still like to change or do different, and as it has taken me 2 months to just get the ark done at the moment I just feel relieved to have finished it at last rather than proud of what I have achieved. Gosh, that sounds like I think a lot of myself reading it back, but I can't think of any better words to describe how I feel so please forgive me - I hope you understand what I mean.
I am feeling a bit unsure and unsettled about being on the forum at the moment with all the hurtful things that were said sunday afternoon to someone else - I thought this board was different and personally I feel terribly sorry for the person involved and hope she doesn't think we are all tarred with the same brush. I had nothing to do with it, and never would, but it was a rude reminder of how cruel people can be and how everyone needs support and friendship, which I sincerly hope she has. I would hate for something to cause the beautiful online support and community that has grown on this board into a special thing to shatter apart. Why do some people have to be so hurtful? sigh... guess I will never understand it.
Hugs to all,

blackcrow you should feel proud of yourself, you created something and the feeling of satisfaction that gives is probably why we all do it, plus, of course, you can feel pretty smug because it's beautiful.0

I am completely confused -- nothing new there then !!
Blackcrow do you mean someone was rude, hurtful and horrible on the Knit a square to give your share thread
I can neither find it but wonder if I missed the post cos of travelling or believe it but if it happened I am so sorry for whoever was hurt by unkind postsTry and do a good deed every day.0 -

Hi all,
Think Blackcrow was referring to some nasty comments made about someone on another thread yesterday.
Definitely NOT this one !!! We are not nasty on here. We don`t have time for one thing, we`re toooooo busy knitting and hooking to cast aspersions.;)
Sad that sometimes the written word on forums can be misconstrued though and slights, whether real or imagined, can escalate to such extremes.
Babysitting duties for me tonight - DS & DD have gone out together for a couple of drinks, he`s treating her as she was very pregnant on her 18th birthday so he`s taking her for her first legal drink.:rotfl:
Oops, baby crying so must go.
Night all, sleep well.
